Sorry sir, i get your point and very often my AA mentor is expressing a kind of disappointment like yours being probably close to your age himself.<quoted text>
Nope, I'm black, and not a pan-african,and at my age, I'll probably never be, and it doesn't bother me in the least. I've never had a herd mentality to follow the leader! To be young and idealistic is fine, until reality sets in! Oh, I used to be, back in the sixties, until I went into business for myself! Then reality set in.These same "brothers" that was always blaming the white man, would try to rip me off quicker than the white man. All of this patting on the back ,saying "yo bro we gonna support you" didn't mean a damned thing, just rhetoric!
REALITY IS HELL!
That being said, we can look at things on the long term instead of short or medium term. The situation in Africa is clearly improving compared to 1950 or 1900 or 1800.
It took such a loooong time for slavery to be stopped in the USA and another loooong batch of decades to have Jim Crow legally/superficially dismantled.
We cannot expect that Africans could succeed in a snap when us in the E.U. are pitifully quarrelling on a Union budget that represents only 1% of the combine members' budgets !
The E.E.C. was founded in ... 1957.
As for corrupt politicians, we have a whole bunch in France : after nasty ex-prez Sarkozy, now we have Jérôme Cahuzac, a Socialist Treasury secretary that was evading taxation as illegally as he could (secret accounts in Switzerland and Singapore), lied in front of the Parliament during months and finally confessed yesterday.
The list of our white politicians caught in the act of various acts related to fraud and corruption is long, long, long all over Europe. All whites so AAs and Africans are not specifically to be blamed about that.
