No offense, but WHY did you let him treat you like that? You can only be treated as badly as you let someone treat you. Generally, women that attract users and losers will continue to attract them regardless of race. For example, abused women tend to find another abuser. They don't usually go from getting beaten, to finding a man that treats them like gold. It has to do with them and their lack of self worth, so they attract the same type of man over and over. That abused woman would most likely go from being abused by a black man to being abused by a white man.

I've never been mistreated (and I've only dated black men) because if I saw something negative in a man I am casually seeing, it would be over way before any serious relationship has the chance to develop.

When I said financially used, abused and stolen, was talking mainly talking about my first boyfriend I totally tried to trust and care about him. I was young and so very naive and he I later found out was sneaky, cheating, using and low down as they come but he hid that side of him well at first. But when I fully realized just how I was letting myself be treated and especially when I found out he was stealing from me, I dropped him. I was now very leery of men but I continued to date black men but when they showed any of my previous bf's behaviors or ways, I got out quick.

I understand about the the women with low self esteem who looks for and attracts someone to abuse her but there is also a type of women not many people realize. My parent raised us in a very overly protected atmostphere, I never had many friends from my black area because I was different and teased about acting white. I grew up seeing my dad's noble character and other decent black men in my family so when I started dating I was foolish enough to think most black men were good and decent to black women but opposite is true.
