why would I need to boost my EGO?? My ego is already boosted high enough because I have a healthy self esteem unlike you!! Dark skin women are not pitiful but it's the TRUTH that many of them have self esteem issues because of the racist color conscience country we live in!!!

I embrace my skin color and hair and love myself!!! It wasn't easy growing up because black kids can be viscous when to comes to light skin black girls!!!! We know this! Lets not turn this into another light skin vs dark skin thread we already have an idiot trying to turn this thread into BM and WW because she is mentally obsessed with that union!!!
Maybe they just didn't like you as a person and it wasn't about your skin colour. You are not supportive or inclusive towards black women, so maybe they just didn't like you.

<quoted text> noooo! Lol @ the dude from Hellraiser!!! Trust me it doesn't hurt! On occasion if they hit a point of an organ that you are having trouble with it might sting a bit going in but it stops stinging in like 5 seconds if it continues to sting the acupuncture therapist will take the needle out because that means the particular organ is not ready to receive treatment that day. Trust me its painless!! If you take your wife with you let her know that during her time of the month her energy is more sensitive and acupuncture may hurt a lil ( during that time) the good thing is acupuncture can stop painful periods and cramps and calm a woman down !!! Think of that part in " I'm gonna get you sucka" when the lady from a different world turned into the " cramp demon" for some reason acupuncture calms women like that down. Acupuncture increases circulation and blood flow. I'm telling you it's that shi!!!! I love it! You can't even take a lot of needles at one time your body heals in segments!! You might have 20 needles in you at the most so you won't be looking like ole boy from Hellraiser LOL !
LOLOLOL!!!!

Maybe it all LOOKS much more grueling than what it is. And although I don't have anyone significant in my life that's experiencing that type of menstrual cramping (not to my knowledge) that would require her looking like Hellraiser, but I'll keep this procedure in mind until I do.

I've even seen some acupuncture needles with incense on them. As if looking like Hellraiser wasn't bad enough, now you gotta go burnin' the needles that are stuck in your head!!! Dayuuum! LOLOL!!! What do you know about these???

Why do light skinned or biracial women always assume dark skinned women's rejection of them is out of jealousy? Why can't they accept that they are just disliked because of how they behave towards other people?

Very insightful as always… I decided to wait before I added that her aggressiveness comes from a long chain. Not sure how it was when she was very young but as teens and adults the whole family is like this. They show each other no respect whatsoever. The mom is cursing the kids and the kids are cursing the mom like a regular conversation.
It wasn't this bad when the husband was alive. He steered her away from this abusive behavior. The dad and daughter was in a very bad car accident were he died and she survived to go through this. Not sure if she is grieving through the child, maybe deep down she’s blaming the child. In addition, don’t let this woman get some alcohol in her system. You will hear all kinds of words coming out of her mouth towards this child. There is so much more to this story.
Trust me, you probably haven't scratched the surface with this situation, I'm sure! When her husband was alive, it was probably his presence that buffered the children from her madness, and it was probably his presence that buffered his wife when it came to the madness of her family. Once he was removed out of the equation, all hell broke loose.

It just further proves that the man, the Black man's existence is NOT expendable. We bring so much more to the situation than just a paycheck.

No dear, MANY of them do not have self esteem issues. Most of them are happy and confident. There are many issues with not looking obviously Black, that light skinned women face.
At least dark skinned women know where they fit in, and so does everybody else. That's a wonderful thing, that women like you have never really experienced. In ways I'm sure many red bones and light skinned men, envy dark skinned black people.

I raised a light skinned girl whose probably older than you. So it ain't really about you. I agreed this wasn't about IRBM, but don't tell me what to talk about. We can agree to disagree, and I'll leave it at that.

This situation is definitely not mild. I'm only touching the tip of the iceberg.

He provided and brought stability to the family. He was a good man and we have said many of times if he was there all of this wouldn't be going on.

I agree this isn't about IRBM.
But it doesn't bring light to the other half of the subject that gets swept under the rug even more, which is the treatment of the light skinned children, who mostly grow up in dark and brown skin neighborhoods...some by their own immediate families members. I can't think of a city in America that is predominanly light skinned. You may have had some pro light skinned college universities during jim crow, but college has never been the real world.
What drew my attention to this thread was the title, "Dark Skin". But now I know it was about Dark Skin Girls. I've seen so many documentaries about dark skin this and dark skin that. Even "Black in America" was bascially about darkskin disadavtage.
When I start seeing documentarie titled Dark this or Dark that, they raise a red flag and I know the tension it can bring to the black family, because most of them have darkskinned and lightskinned family members. When they put these episodes on TV, it sometimes give darkskinned people the illusion that it's okay to discuss these thing to light skinned people, even in their own family. And the elderly seem to be more vulnerable.
I had this done to me by two darkskinned immediate family members. My mother and my sister. My mother as recently as a few days ago. Again, I think she saw this Oprah documentary. I had a lightskinned father and a lightskinned half sister, who are both deceased. My mother and sister would have never talked about darkskinned disadvantage to me if they were still alive. And if they did, neither my father or my half sister are here to speak up. Then you have these kind of documentaries that take adavntage of these opportunities to divide us even more, especially when they refuse to adderess the other side to this ugliness, that affect the light skinned.
To this day, my daughter who is lightskinned like me, over heard my mother on the phone, not long after my father and half sister passed away, saying that fairskinned people, as they used to say in the south, age faster. Can you imagine the shock waves that went through my baby girls head? Enough went through my head. She was only 15. It completely changed their relationship. Come to think of it, my daughter got treated a little different as a child by a lot of her peers. But she got through it like I did. She was also athletic as a child like me, so nobody went but so far with her, and you didn't really want to get her mad.
I don't mean to sound bitter, but we may as well keep it under the rug, if we're not going to talk about the other half of that mess. Maybe there should be a documentary titled, "Dark Skin and Light Skin" something. But at the same time, that may open up another can of worms. It would depend on who does the documentary, and their true agenda I guess.
This is an excellent comment Kpitrl.

Umm. It depends on the black man. Any man or woman can be expendable if they bring chaos, unintellgence, hate, jealousy, non cohesion to their family. There are times where one has to go because they can't exist in a family unit.

wrong dear if dark skin women didn't have self esteem issues there would not be a documentary discussing the issue you vare a complete annoying idiot. Most light skin girls do NOT envy dark skin women. Society is racist and color stuck as it is! The way I see it Black is beautiful In all complexions you skin color does not determine your beauty unfortunately society and even some Bm are color struck against dating dark skin women. You are just trying to start light skin vs dark skin you are a sorry pathetic shi starting beyotch
