Even though I much rather have biracial's answer this question you can be a full black and answer this question because at the end of the day you have a black mother so it's okay to answer. I'm biracial with a white mom and black dad. I grew up with a white brother, white sister, and two biracial sisters. I was wondering whats the difference between having a black mom vs having a white mom? Please don't say stuff like well a black mom educates their children on race and knows how to do hair. Because regardless of the stereotypes my mother knew how to do our hair, and she's very educated on black history and the problems in the black community. My mother is the reason i'm like pro black lmao. She educated me on my black history, the one drop rule, black beauty, and racism. She also educated me on the problems in the black community. She's the first one to say "well if he was white he would've gotten away with it' lmao. My moms a trip I love her but anyway. What it like growing up with a black mother? Is it any different than growing up with a white mother?

The only shame I have right now is that I'm half your race. You make white people look bad so please go. Majority of white people are ashamed of you and your racist ass.

You're an absolutely beautiful black queen :) Most biracial women with Black mothers are full of self hate due to most of the time the fathers being complete racists.

Your mom did a good job with you.. She must be a very good hearted woman.

My actual white mother gave me up for adoption for hurtful reasons such as my hair texture and no acceptance from my white side, and she had no clue who my black side of the family were/ didn't know who my biological father was. I'll never forget the day I met her and she cried while telling me these weak excuses for getting rid of me.

I was adopted by a black woman, and a swedish man (my parents). I couldn't be any happier. I have sister's and brothers that look just like me, and I almost forget that I'm adopted. She's very accepting of me, she cares for me just as much as she cares for Elise and Joe (her biological biracial kids), and life couldn't have worked out for me any better! My hair wasn't an issue, both sides of their families accept me, and I've learned so many valuable things from her that only a black woman could teach. From hair care, cooking recipes, skin care, and black pride.

Wow, that's a ridiculous assumption . My white mother was the racist. If anything - biracial people and their black mothers share more in common than biracial people and their white mothers - we're both considered black. So it would be more likely for self hate to occur in biracials with white mothers. Especially single white mothers or white mothers with white boyfriends.

That is far from the truth, I doubt any black person would date or marry a racist and most biracial kids I know raised by black mothers are prideful of their black side and you wouldn't even know they were mixed unless you ask, one of my close cousins is mixed with a black mother and while she's fair with green eyes, she's very proud of her black side. I've seen the same from the other side. I don't think there's much different I mean just a black mom might understand your experiences just like a black father would his mix children, but the experience with the pairing is different because it's rare to see BW/WM people automatically assume your parents are WW/BM. and people stare at those families hard because it's not seen often, but I'm sure all mixed families experience that.

Nobody is going to claim their mother was racist. Obviously you're a black woman.

This is another reason why people find it hard to respect IRBW like you due to your idiocy.

That wasn't a question up for debate. Truth is, most bw that date IR do it with racists non black men. Even Halle and celeb black women claim these dudes called them the N word and was racist towards them after they break up.

I feel that is a BAAZAR question. OF COUSE there will a difference of both MOMS because of culture differences; and wheither you care to hear it or NOT..hair preparation and THE BLACK EXPERIENCE (IS) a factor lacking with childrren whom are half black.

Even if you felt YOUR mother had tried seeking knoweledge in reference to (BLACKPPL'S) knoweledge of hair care knoweledge which iS a BIG difference btw the two MOMS.....a lot of half blk children white mothers do not, can not, FULLY embrace what is NEEDED to embrrace- SIMPLY because they are not of that race of ppl.

Cultural thoughts, more', customes, expressions, experiences, down to feelings and beliefs, are all different; REGUARDLESS of both women being born on THE SAME nation soil. Likewise' with experience /history you have TO LIVE IT. Reading about it and/or studying it are NOT the same if you DON'T live thee experience; and THAT'S the difference btw a white mom who has a HALF BLK child.
She CAN teach her HALF BLK child about her european culture/ experience -and embrace it quite well I'm MORE than sure...because she is living it. However....the blk parent of that half blk child..lived the BLACK EXPERENCE/culture, and is BETTER equiped to teach that half blk child- BLACK HISTORY, CULTURE, THE BLK EXPERIENCE-because that blk parent and that blk parent FAMILY-lived and is living the blk experience of BEING BLK daily; NOT THE half blk child WHITE MOTHER./ THAT'S WHAT MAKES THE DIFFERENCE.

Wow a few stories define them all, I'm not here trying to be a spokesperson for BW and IR, but I just saw a thread with BM accepting their WW calling them the N word, so it can be said on both sides. I hear you though because I saw an article and a show with women being with men and end up finding out they were racist are used the N word, but I'm sure had they knew that from the start they wouldn't have been with them and I just spoke from my experience with my friends and cousins, but I do hope the OP get answers from people with personal experiences.

Psychopath, my mother actually was racist - I'm not "claiming" it. And yes, I have one white parent and one black parent - I am considered a black woman and there's nothing wrong with that. People find it hard to respect IR couples in general, especially WW/BM. Keep in mind that this is a white MALE dominated society. White men usually don't care if they see their fellow white men dating outside of their race, so WM/BW IR couples are more accepted than the other way around. When speaking of idiocy, try to hide yours.

My posts are the facts baby okay. Do you understand that? I didn't even read your post. I just want confirmation from you that you understand that what I say is more important and realistic than what you are saying.

Please ignore him, he's just looking to fulfill his racist agenda.

I'm sure being biracial and raised by a black mother is no different than being biracial and raised by a black mother.
