It explains much along with your constant lean towards male objectives and male hierarchy.
I'm hoping that Pope Francis will take the Church in a direction that brings women into a more prominent role. Jesus certainly included women in important roles in His ministry.

What important roles? Name them. The churches excuse for women being "contained" is reflective of the Jesus ministry, washing his feet seemed to be important, a female task.

<quoted text>From your cite:
If you surf the Internet, you’ll find literally dozens of sites filled with stories about bad abortion experiences. The stories all have a sameness–”oh, I didn’t want to kill my baby, my mean old boyfriend/husband/parents made me do it and the doctors and nurses at the clinic were rude and I bled for weeks and I feel so guilty and I’ll never be able to forgive myself.”
If you surf the net you will find dozens more stories on pregnancy and child birth complications.

Have at it.

Abortion murders very young humans.
Universal morality produced by men pertaining to women?

One more thing.

Explain to me why women are to be provided a more prominent role by men?

I presume the only answer will prove my point.

Because the Pope is a man and he would lead the discussion.

The pope is a man along with the rest of the men that are the authority of the CC.

No need for any input from women. Women are to be governed by men. That is the example they set.

They think a pregnancy is 'punishment' because they love death as much as we love life.

I could go through the Bible and give you many verses, I was struck that women were the ones to tell of His ressurection and that it is mention in the gospels that the women were the brave ones to stay when he was crucified. There are many mentions of His responses to women for help and He defends them against the priests. The gospels of Mary and Thomas show their involvement in His ministry.
Here are a few other examples. Think about the times and what might not seem like a lot to you was revolutionary in the first century.

yes, there are women who reget abortions..some even terribly so. the amount of time the regret lasts depends on the person.

some women who have children regret having them. i have talked to many women who say that if they knew back then (before becoming mothers)what they know now, they would not have had any children....

here you have one group regreting their abortion another group regreting motherhood....

its a case of the grass being greener on the other side...

neither of these scenarios have any jurisdiction over the overall abortion question. it simply must be left up to the individual woman.

Abortion murders innocent human life; that's why I make the case for raising your own children with the kid's mom and dad, contraception and adoption.

If you love life, look at the morality of abortion and do the right thing.

Hi Morgana! I seriously doubt Brian will go for THAT challenge. My guess; on Planet Brian, ALL pregnancies and births go smoothly, with no complications whatsoever. I have a feeling that he's going to keep it that way, with no inconvenient facts to mess that illusion up.

Actually, you DO consider pregnancy a punishment, Brian, you just don't use the "P" word. When you say things like "accept the consequences of your actions," that's the same thing as saying the woman "should" be punished with pregnancy.

In any case, it doesn't matter what YOUR feelings are. The ONLY person who decides whether to continue the pregnancy or not is the WOMAN who is pregnant.

Riiiiiiiiiiight, and according to so-called "moralists" like you, she must be PUNISHED with forced gestation and birth if an unwanted pregnancy results.

Luckily for any woman who DOESN'T want to get or stay pregnant, it isn't YOUR decision to make.
