Nobody showed up and those who did show up couldnt hack it and walked off leaving the farmers scrambling for workers..so the notion that Americans would fill those positions is boloney.

Well, I had ancestors who fought in the Revolutionary War, War of 1812, etc. and were here building and farming when Mexicans weren't leaving the interior of Mexico to come here. They didn't run Mexicans/Spanish speakers away- there weren't any around them. When my ancestors were a part of the US- most of the Mexican's ancestors here tody were in Mexico. Heck, most were probably still in Mexico when my oldest sister was born in 1983.

As I said- obviously White people have not care about illegal immigration or massive legal immigration these 30-40 years or they would have done something about it long ago. We are an over crowded desert state with water shortages as it is and they keep stuffing people in here. I certainly don't understand it and can't live with it.

We should have stayed the Repubic of Texas- because now, as a state, we have no southern border, have no rule of law or representation for the good of long term citizens of any race- including the ACTUAL long term citizens of Mexican ancestry. Please do not think that there aren't frustrated members of that latter group as well.

Most Mexicans do not live near farms/orchards- but live in urban areas.
