You're right. But some women don't want to work in Hospitals. I don't blame them. Not everyone wants to be around sick people all day. And not every woman enjoys that kind of thing.

Men and women battle, have always battled and will continue to battle. It's how it's done that matters. There are silent lines each group should never cross. Conflict in/of itself is good because it's needed in order to grow. However, war of any kind has rules and those rules must be followed. Blacks in general have never understood this and it seems will never understand this.
Well, from where I stand, men and women have already received the benefits of their parents efforts and sacrifices and have presumably, arrived to adulthood relatively psychologically intact. All of this war and rules of war stuff makes for a nice sub-plot, but both sides have to realize that there exist a greater purpose/obligation than ourselves as individuals and as a collective; that our obligations to the children we produce and our succeeding generations supercedes in importance our inability to move beyond all our generational ideological conditioning and programming.

I can answer this.. What color is your man first of all?
The "system" isn't a white male system. It's the American System. The problem with the system is that it doesn't take into account the history of blacks in America.
You may not realize it, but all those blacks in the Ghetto, those people come from generations of poverty dating all the way back to slavery.
These people simply have no clue about life outside of this mentality.
Merging young men and women like this into a culture that is set up for men and women who don't have this historical back ground of misinformation is the failure of the "system" you hear about.
Of course many black males make it out. but .. the ones that make it out are smart, elite in thought, and are still hindered from reaching their full potential based on their starting point.
:) Make sense?
No, it doesn't make sense. In fact, classism is just as bad as racism. One can't help where they are born and to deny someone opportunity based on circumstance beyond their control and more than wrong, it's immoral.

1.“ The memo refers to Obama Sr.’s plans to attend the University of Hawaii for one more year to obtain his bachelor’s degree in economics, and that his spouse, a United States citizen, plans to work at the university.
I know that it's popular and easy to believe this about every black male but, His father did not abandon him, his father who had a masters degree in economics was deported and here are excerpts from his immigration file obtained by the FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA). Documents show Obama, Sr. was denied an extension of his student visa in July, 1964 and subsequently returned to Kenya. In 1965, Obama, Sr. attempted to return to the United States but was denied entry.
The excerpts:
“They have one child born Honolulu on 8/4/1961 – Barack Obama II, child living with mother (she lives with her parents & subject resides at 1482 Alencastre St.),” the memo states.”
2.”[T]he agency “recommend(s) that Subject be closely questioned before another extension is granted – and denial be considered. If his USC (United States Citizen) wife tries to petition for him make sure an investigation is conducted as to the bona-fide of the marriage.”
3.”Documents show that Obama, Sr. was denied an extension on his student visa in July, 1964, in part because Harvard University, where Obama, Sr., was a Ph.D. candidate, sought his removal. Obama Sr. eventually left the United States willingly after becoming an illegal alien for remaining in the country past the expiration of his visa.
An INS investigator, M.F. McKeon, wrote “They (Harvard officials) weren’t very impressed with him and asked us to hold up action on his application until they decided what action they could take in order to get rid of him. They were apparently having difficulty with his financial arrangements and couldn’t seem to figure out how many wives he had.”
Documents show that Harvard officials considered Obama, Sr. to be a “slippery character,” and conspired with the INS to have him deported
He did, by most accounts, have poor morals and character.

And please elaborate on the IN HOUSE conflict. Are you saying that black men took black relationship issues outside of the black home and into the media for public ridicule and demonization of blakc women?
Looks like you answered your own question.

Who are "MOST?" A bunch of racist conspiring to deny him access to education? How can you ignore the fact that it is a matter of public record that the Gov't (INS) and Harvard officials conspired against this man during the times in which a black man's humanity was regarded less then it is today? By "MOST" accounts as a non white person, you are regarded a person of marginal innate intelligence and humanity, so do you also rely on these bias beliefs of "MOST" in this regard?

Please don't start with the racism nonsense. His dad left him in a racist world, how is that helpful? How is that helping things? The President has said on more than one occasion that his father was known for his arrogance. There was no conspiracy.

He made his own humanity less than by leaving kids all over the place. The real question is why did he have to leave his own country to get an education in the first place. An education he fumbled btw.

As I've said, making kids and leaving them, imo negates anything else he could have possibly done (and he didn't amount to much even after he did all that). When I see pictures of the Presidents dad, I see an angry, highly unattractive evil man. I do not see good or light anywhere in the pictures they show of his dad.

This is true. Before you can come together (and black man/black woman have never been together mind you) you must have mutual respect and a sense of loyalty and/or purpose. Basically, you must see and sacrifice for the bigger picture. I believe, at least for the few blacks remaining in this country, that the ship has sailed on that.

So, racism was and is not a factor in people's lives, nor did it affect the things that happen to them....particularly in the 60's? And what good does it do by introducing these facts? It helps paint an accurate picture of the circumstances as they were and not as you imagine or want them to be.

And how can you say that there was no conspiracy when the records, in their own words reflect that was in fact the case? And stop it with your strawman reasoning and arguments....there are many arrogant men who do not abandon their children. Being arrogant and being a father are not mutually exclusive terms.

And all of that divining and abstracting meaning from photos does not exactly meet any scientifically acceptable standards, so I'll attribute that to your furtile imagination because according to you; ne'er a black man has ever been victimized by racism...it's all in our imagination.

Look, if his dad was so concerned about racism, he should have kept his black, unattractive evil looking azz in Africa!

It does no good because once one knows the facts as you claim, they know what they are up against. Using the facts, to make excuses for sorry ness is not the business. Sorry.

They didn't want him and that's is there right!! Private institutions don't have to accept any and everyone. They got sick of his arrogant black azz so they conspired to get him out of there. Big deal.

So what? Does that make it any less wrong? It only means that many arrogant men are immoral then.
Cogito2 wrote:

In this case it is inclusive, he abandoned his kids and he was arrogant.

Yeah, I had a conversation with posterity and told him that you alone were responsible for the predicament that we find ourselves in because you were blessed with all these (DREAMS) insights but you chose instead to keep them close to your chest and left us wandering in the dark; refusing to share with us your sage guidance that would have help us avoid our subjagated conditions. You have failed us woman and fate would like to have a word with you. LOL!
