Peace dear Sister,

I left you a comment on a thread that got deleted. We were talking about anger coming from a "dark" place as you said.

I don't know if you saw the comment but I replied pointing to this Scripture showing God acting out of anger (2 Sam. 24:1:)

"And again the anger of the Lord was kindled against Israel, and he moved David against them to say, Go, number Israel and Judah."

This shows, my beloved Sister that if God can act out of anger, anger is not always from a bad place...

Peace & Brotherly Love,
AAAM

Thank you for starting this thread... to continue this conversation because I was enjoying it.. I didn't say anger comes from a dark place because it's a natural God- given emotion..We just cannot use it to sin (or as the topic went..."insult") or not forgive:

"In your anger do not sin": Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry,
Ephesians 4:26

and do not give the devil a foothold.Ephesians 4:27

It is when a person reach the point of "insulting" .. that they open themselves up to vulnerabilities because insulting someone usually comes from a place of weakness... It takes very little moral restraint and intelligences to respond with insults..

Ephesians 4:29
Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearer

Here is a C/P from your deleted thread....(Wanted your insight on this)

AAAM... Let's get back to your topic... Tell me what's your insight on this scripture: He replied, "It is not right to take the children's bread and toss it to the dogs." Matthew 15:26 "Yes it is, Lord," she said. "Even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their master's table." Matthew 15:27 Do you think Jesus used the B-word..given that he was addressing a female? Although referring to a PERSON as a dog (like swing or pig) in those days was not considered a typical sexist "insult" ...but had meaning in connection to an unbeliever or those considered unclean/un-purifie d..(Numbers 18:8-19) A sacrificial animal offering was considered holy and no part of it could be offered to a dog, including the bone. To give consecrated meat as food for dogs would be considered as blasphemy.“Do not give dogs what is sacred.”(Matthew 7:6) "You are to be my holy people. So do not eat the meat of an animal torn by wild beasts; throw it to the dogs. Exodus 22:31

Good biblical points here. Still trying to master those valuable lessons because its hard to be nice when someone spits fire in my direction. I find myself adding gas to their lit match; until I give 'em something BIGGER- an explosion. Nonetheless, good points.

I'm with you...not only on this comment, but on many you hve made bout BW... The ones included about being bless not to be the most lusted after and focusing on developing ourselves spiritually, mentally/educationally, etc... I think we should not try to be included in pollution, but used this opportunity to evolve into a higher form of self..

It's a struggle..and some people can bring out the worse in you easier than others...I like to exam why that particular personality has that much power over my reaction...usually when I find the answer to that..I can find the solution and shift the hand of power & control over my own emotion back into my hands..

Why do black females make statements about themselves not being desired or being the least desired when nothing reflects that?

We've all seen the self promotion campaign these women have been on, bashing AA men regardless of whether or not they are AA women.

What would really increase bw worth is if they stop trying to promote themselves individually, stop promoting non bm, and start promoting the black family in a positive manner.

Peace my dear Sister,

I'm very happy to have this opportunity to write to you.

Now, insulting I don't think is sinning. Jesus in the Bible called people fools (Matt. 23:17) and hypocrites (Matt. 15:7.) That tells me that to insult is not necessarily a sin.

Well dear Sister, I don't think Jesus was being vile or vulgar when he called the Canaanite woman a dog, so I wouldn't equate it with him calling her a "b*tch."

I would never suggest Jesus would have been vile or vulgar towards anyone...I was just exploring the word B****(as your previous topic was asking of us)...
Interesting enough..do you see the use of the B-word "at any time" in our day & age and culture as being vulgar & vile? Do you feel the same way about the N-word?

I agree with you that there appears to be no linkage....so I tried to avoid directly connecting the two...

Although, people do often get insulted by the truth as well..(in cases of being a hypocrite or a fool which means a person who acts unwisely or imprudently)

However.....insult means:
* to speak to or treat with disrespect or scornful abuse.
* a disrespectful or scornfully abusive remark or action.
* a thing so worthless or contemptible as to be offensive.

synonyms: abuse, be rude to, slight, disparage, discredit, libel, slander, malign, defame, denigrate, cast aspersions on, call someone names, put someone down
