Thing is, even those Blacks who are also Conservative. Those who voted for Obama are now regretting it. Instead of standing up for their principals. But a few were told that if they voted as who they stood for, they would be disowned. This includes those my husband & I know.
.
They would rather vote for a Black that was running on the Republican ticket. And from the sounds of it, There is at least one who is considering it.
You comment inspired me to dig up our past here in Ohio when Ken Blackwell was running for Governor, and here is what I found:

"That’s empirically false. As Nia-Malika Henderson recently pointed out, the biggest factor determining whether African Americans vote Republican isn’t a candidate’s race. It’s his or her views. In 2006, for instance, conservative black Republican Ken Blackwell won 20 percent of the African-American vote in his campaign for governor of Ohio. In 1994, by contrast, a white Republican candidate for the same office, George Voinovich, won 42 percent of the black vote, largely because as mayor of Cleveland he had pursued policies—like desegregating the city’s police force—that African Americans liked."

http://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2...

Twenty percent of the black vote. How can that be?

Conservative and Republican blacks are considered the black sheep of the family (no pun intended.)

Most blacks look at conservative or Republican blacks as back-stabbers, sellouts, Uncle Tom's. They don't even consider such blacks as part of the black race.

So I don't know if having a black presidential nominee for the Republican party will do us that much good. Better than running against DumBama? Perhaps. But no matter what Republicans do, I don't see them getting 50% of the black votes or more in many years to come.

I feel to see the difference here, if a race is targeted because of a cultural prejudice its still a racist. That means you assume the worst of that race because of the way they dress or talk. And you would have to admit, if it were a white kid in that same situation, it would have gone down much differently. It was a racist act period. And who gets to define what is racist to a particular group?
Well said. Are you the Obsidian that contributes to the Lopez Martinez Radio Show when it used to come on in Columbia, SC? If you are, I always look forward to hearing your comments.

Could someone please explain to my why some Black men wear oversized pants and wear their pants hanging half way down their butt and show off their underwear? Do they know how ridiculous that looks? What are they trying to say by acting so foolish?
It is a fair question. I am Black and I do not understand why. Especially when they know the origin of that fashion statement. I even offered my belt to a few of them to help hold their pants up but they declined. I knew that if I had given them my belt, my pants would not sag.

Is it true the origin of low hanging pants is Prison and the men were saying they were "available" for penetration?
That is the consensus of everyone that I have heard. That fact alone is more than enough reason to look at the sagging pants practice with disgust. But you know what? Even if it did not evolve in the manner you mentioned, what the heck is the problem with them using a belt to keep their pants up. What further pisses me off is those same ones with the sagging pants are looking for "respect". Talk about irony. But despite that, I still say that is no reason to label a lot of these young men as thug. A lot of them are in that gray area between late teenager and early adulthood where they are trying to find themselves. But I still say to them," pull up your pants!"

I am happy that you referenced a strong Black man for a change to make your point instead of the usual weak Uncle Tom Republicans like Herman Cain, Ben Carson, Clarence Thomas, Allen West, etc.The one strong Black Republican you had, Mr. colin Powell, you racists started hating after he exposed the fact that the GOPidiots have a problem with Blacks.and Hispanics.

Powell. Yeah, no racist there. He only stabbed his supposed white friend (John McCain) in the back to support a black candidate. He even crossed party lines to do it..... twice.

They all just say history was so long ago, Why ya'll always playing the race card, ya'll say the n word why can't we. Honestly whites probably don't get that hurt over it because at the end of the day they are still the majority, still the face of beauty in American, and still are white privileged.
I agree with damn near all of that sista, but they are not the majority. They purposely separated Asian, Black, and hispanic. If all people with color combine as one, they know the consequences of that. In fact they only make up about 10% of Earths total population. We are forgiving people. If we werenthey would know it. I'll get over slavery only if I never have to hear about 4-5 year Holocaust again. Oh my, that was the worst thing ever, evil Hitler. American had a whole country full of Hitlers. They(America) still pay Israel to this day and we didn't even do it. Have you gotten anything sista? Compare 4-5 yrs to 400-500. U right tho, they portray beauty as white or red. Why would a man of Mr. Powell's credentials support a man that made a wrong decision off the bat by having Sarah "2 weeks notice" Palin as his running mate? You ought to be thanking Mr. Powell and many other WHITE Republicans for crossing party lines to vote for Mr. Obama and keeping Palin as far away from 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue as possible. If Mr. McCain had chosen Mitt Romney or someone else with credibilty, then it would have been more of a race. Don't hate Mr. Obama for winning the presidency...TWICE. Blame your racist GOP for nominating candidates that sucked.

The GOP has a problem with Blacks and Hispanics. But it is not the problem of racism, it is the failure to get the message out. I would say that most Blacks and Hispanics are pretty conservative in their daily lives and would identify with a Conservative Government if the GOP could manage the message. Nobody wants the USA to fail under the weight of Federal Debt but that is the direction we are heading.
I agree. It seems that the once proud GOP has given the mike to the right wing crazies. Now we can't see the establishment because they have allowed the crazies to speak for them. On top of that, no one in the GOP is brave enough to speak out against it. Not even a former POW and voice of reason Mr. John McCain.

I'm not blaming DumBama, I am saying that anybody that stabs a friend in the back is certainly not credible when speaking of race. He's a racist himself. It didn't matter who McCain picked for VP, Powell still would have supported DumBama because he's a Mulatto.

McCain and Powell are both moderate Republicans. DumBama is a leftist, a socialist that was supported by the US Communist party. What other reason would Powell have to support a guy like DumBama if not color?

Colin Powell is the GOP Idiot is what your saying and I will tell right now if it wasnt for the GOP the Blacks to this day would still be considered personal property just the way the Liberal Democrats wanted it but lost the Civil War and the Liberal Democrats today haven't changed abit in their racist views and still advocate racism and you would consider Bill Cosby an Uncle Tom because he is self made and succeeded on this own and you can tell the bigotry you live by in your post too besides have no use for Sucessful Blacks.

So are you accusing Secretary Powell of racism because he supported President Obama over McCain and Romney? Is that all it takes to define a racist, in your opinion?

Mr. Powell went against the status quo of your racist party in being a strong Black man and the racists in his party cannot handle it. So you can keep Uncle Toms Allen West, Herman Cain, Ben Carson, and the likes of them we won't miss them. As you can see, Mr. Obama did not need their votes to easily defeat the GOP candidates that lost badly in 2008 and 2012. Especially the one that chose the Alaskan airhead as his running mate.

Really? So why didn't Powell expose this "racism" when he worked for George Bush? Why not when the GOP asked HIM to run for President? Why did he wait until DumBama came along to supposedly expose this racism.

Excuses don't work, especially with something this evident. McCain and Romney are both good honest men. Their problem is they were the wrong color for Powell.

But oh! Powell decided to join up with the party of non-racists I guess.......

Well, I don't consider liberal whites to be white.

As for the REAL whites, yes, we stick up for each other. It's like a dumb white girl who's sleeping with a black. You wouldn't consider her white, would you?

Whites are behaved. So are most other races. it's only the blacks who are a problem.
I think we should trade a black for every Hispanic we accept. Seriously, who appreciates blacks?
Africa - that's who. No one else wants them. They are troublemakers.
They are the hated race - for good reason.
Whites are hated out of jealousy, no credibility.
Send all blacks to Africa. It's the only country on earth who identifies with a negro.
