One United Bank.
There are only 30 black owned banks in the USA. If there is not one close to you, you can bank on the internet with one. But always ask them what they are doing for the black community.
Thanks.
Gee, I thought you was just troll. You should have said this months ago.

We black people need to learn how to defend each other once again. I don't care if you you're dating non black women or non black men, it's stupid that we're being torn apart and giving white people want they want. White people seek to divide and destroy us and hate nothing more to see bp defending each other. We must make a pact to defend each other regardless of who we are dating and if you're dating anyone that needs validating by you hating your own race of women and men then please leave them, that is not love. People can date out and not hate their own race. We can discuss our own concerns without bringing white people into it. So what are some of the issues do black people want us to talk through and resolve to help ourselves do better???
Defend each other from what? You are crazy if you think white people are trying to destroy you. Tell that to Paula Deen and George Zimmerman!

The truth have two sides.
1. Bitter
2. Sweet
Either one coming from the heart is beneficial. We can't have one without the other and we must encourage those in need of encouraging, admonish those in need of admonishing, award those in need if an award and correct those in need if correction. Either way, let it be from the heart.
I like this^^
True indeed. Its always from the heart but I can come across a little harsh. Especially with my people.

I'd also like to request/state that we totally ignore any racist troll that most probably will post on this thread, no matter how offensive their words are. Let's show them how small and irrelevant they are to us..
Would you care to share which ones really bother you?

True I wanted to say that about trolls, we've been there, done that and it's time to move on from it.:)

The first step to defending AA's is stop qualifying any AA as thugs, ghetto, educated, uneducated, weave wearing or bling bling crazy.
When we make distinctions, we're no better than racists.
Likewise, we have AA's working for the opposite team that deny being black, offended at being called black and are anti-AA.
There are white people that are pretending to be black and too many of us think they are black.
These are the facts.
Getting rid of the titles can help us stop seeing people as less than or more than. If we can we should listen, share knowledge with people having a bad time so some can learn what they are doing wrong and how they can improve. Labeling keeps stereotypes alive and bp should play no part in it.

From the contents of this list, it's clear that you have no intention to solve anything.
Calling any AAM a thug, talking about bw wearing weaves and of course, your jab at bm bashing bw as if that is a one way street isn't anything other than provocation.
If one was serious about defending AA's, the first thing isn't bm, bw, blk childern or anything other than "me". Any problem resolution in the African American community must begin with the pronoun "me". People avoid real issues by shifting blame/responsibility away from "me" and putting blame/responsibility on everybody else but, "me". When AA's can do that, then you're making progress.
Last of all, how can you defend "AA's" by calling some AA's thugs and hoodrats? That in and of itself is counter productive. Either it's defend "all" AA's are leave it alone.
These are some of the concerns that some bp have with one another even if they are stupid or untrue. If we talk about the things that annoy us about each other we can understand more about it instead of being defensive all the time and change it, not out of fear but out of respect for one another.

For example some bm hate weaves, why do they hate them, why do they want bw to wear their own natural hair.

Another example, some bw hate when some bm say they prefer light skin over dark skin, why do they hate that. If people could share how they feel when these things are said and understand more on a deeper level, we can realize that it's not all fun and games but that people have strong concerns and emotions about these issues and insight makes people aware, so the next time they want to say light skin is better they can stop and think how that hurts someone or a bw goes and gets a tacky weave they can think maybe natural is better, prettier for whatever reason because they understand now that people are not insulting bw or infringing on our rights but trying to get us to see that natural hair is a better option than a tacky wig.

Question: Why do IR daters think they feel the need to give a f--k about Black issues when they know damn well they dont???

I only defend real Black people btw.

Fake "Black" people & nonblack people can go f--k themselves.

A black man or black woman dating someone they love does not take anything away from their heritage. They were born black and they will die black man.
Ummmm what???
If these men and women are speaking badly about their own people with no reason except to hate, they I see your point.
You damn right cause thats why they does it!!!
If not, then they are STILL your people dude.
Like hell they is!!!
That way of thinking is the reason why your community will remain divided if you don't see how much of a damage that does.
Ummmm what???

When you see a fellow Black with his pants hanging off his butt and trying to be like a thug, kick him in the shins!
Why you always get mad when we criticize your weaker links, yet you yourselves do nothing to try and change them? It seems y'all would rather focus on whitey and point the finger. Don't defend ghettoized people. Get on their case, make them change!

it would help if you refrain from using the
N-word which leaves us unsure. Some of us will never, never use that term.

Yes, I'm the same way. I guess it's because we love our own so much that we can't stand to watch us being destroyed.

Yes, we should eliminate labels. All we should see is AA's.

You got the right idea.

Another ridiculous thread, the only blacks worth defending are those like you. I can't wait until the Trayvon riots start, a bunch of thugs either dead or in jail will make me happier.

Bill Cosby made this point years ago and more recently the President.
There are Black people who work daily mentoring Black youth to reject negative stereotypes that are "assigned" by gender.

Many of these people are not focusing on whitey at all but are calling for personal accountability.
It is the constant battle against the larger rap culture that is hampering our overall progression.

However it cannot be said enough, that as a community we must get out ahead of problems within our race and push back against the negativity from all sides.
