Just recently, I had a Nigerian approach me and state "we Africans don't like YOU Americans..." he droned on and on about how we are lazy and every other stereotype in the book. This isn't the first time I've had an unpleasant encounter with a foreign born Black who expressed their disdain for African Americans. I find it incredibly classless and rude to make that type of remark to someone's face. I guess tact is something that they never learned in their home country.

I have always been indifferent towards Africans, however they seem to like to instigate a lot of rivalry and hate. They keep the divisiveness going

I don't care. But they are very aggressive with their hate by randomly walking up to AAs and expressing their dislike/hatred for us

You answered your own question in your very opening paragraph. For whatever reason AA's have a reputation as being lazy and undisciplined (not just among Africans, but also among West Indians). I know a couple Jamaicans who believe this very strongly. They say that they work insanely hard (sometimes multiple jobs) but AA's don't have the same work ethic, they think they don't "try" at all.

You're asking this question as if it is a common occurrence for, or has even been experienced by the rest of us, and I can't honestly think that it would be or has been.

I don't think there is any actual "rivalry" or hate between most AA's or Africans. I think it is just a fabrication in your mind.

Africans don't dislike African Americans. Africans feel like they are more civilized than African Americans. Africans are generally hard-working and educated.

It has also been my experience several times with African born Africans. They usually show inconsideration, no sign of concern, even disrespect for American Blacks. I used to try to feel some connection to Africa, but they leave you little or not choice but to ignore them completely as an American Black. I even feel to need to ignore the idea of African American and refer to our American Blacks as Black Americans.

I've had good experiences with africans, as a matter of fact two of my closest friends are african, one from the ivory coast and the other eritrean. Most africans ive met are into AA music, style and culture, but of course not all are the same.

This lazy thing is a stereotype. One of my laziest co-worker is a african female at my job. She is the laziest, or one of the laziest people that I have ever worked with. She lies, steal, ect, ect, and spread rumors! My manager is kind, and she protects her, and she is not from here, shes from another country. I do not like her as a person, she has used some of the kind co-workers here, to no end. The other day, she did something bad to my co-worker, shes on her last leg at the job, for stealing work hours (not clocking in, leaving late, and early when she wants). This lady waited to this co-worker went to the bathroom, and got on her knees, and prayed to this woman that she would not tell on her, for not doing her job, at her foot. Her african friends steal food her at the job, they work in the kitchen. Their are lazy people of all races, black, white, indian, american, ect, whatever! Anybody can be lazy, I work with the all.

Africans, many that I have met, are very kind, but some are not, just like anybody else, but when they are kind, they have a very open kindness about them. Most of my friends from high school were not from here originally, they were immigrants, from all over. When a african does not like you, you know it, and yes, some do have a disdain for AA's, for whatever reason. You have to blame colonization for some of this, and sterotypes.

You deserve to be hated because you invented racial slurs for us like "african booty scracthers" just like the white man invented racial slurs for you,it has nothing to do with the fact that you are the biggest criminals in America,i dont give a fuck,i used to think that black americans were hated for no reason but they deserve to face racism, all communities in America hate the black community, you have beef with all communities in your own country.

Everyone looks down on africans and africa, but they tell them how hard they work, but behind their backs, they talk about the country they come from, and how weak they are, and the corruptions in their home land, they dont even know anything about africans as a individual, or about africa, but they stereotype, and its wrong. In mali, they are begging to be re-colonized by france, do all africans whant this? Even if they dont, that whole country will be seen as weak, and in need of the "white man". People think africans are weak, disease, ect. They also think that they cant take care of themselves, nor their country, so they run to other countries. African Americans are suppose to be lazy, ghetto, baby daddy's/baby mammas, ect. All this is bull sh*t. All these stereotypes dont even apply to all people, and all blacks dont look down on africans, non that I know. This video right here, about Mali wanting to be re colonized, brought nasty comments, on how weak they are, or how they cant take care of themselves as a country/people. It should not apply to the whole race, or anyone. Here is the video. They are supposedly begging france to recolonize them : https://www.youtube.com/watch...
