Seriously, I think I read somewhere that he's bi-racial; he played a guy who was Black but was passing as a White man in that movie Human Stain, came out a few years ago. Nicole Kidman was in it.

He looks like he could be, but where did you get this info?

Not everyone who IS octoroon advertises it, and most don't even necessarily know it, b/c it is hidden from the family...white americans do not want to be black.

There was a recent famous story about a girl from Connecticut, whose father was a famous editor, who was actually probably octoroon, mixed, light, from Lousiana, and raised his kids to believe that they were pure Caucasian...most of the time, most people do not really know what they are. Families have seperated over this. She found out whe was part black...

By the way, the famous editor is Anatole Broyard...Louisiana Creole, haitian ancestry, light mulatto.

So, it is not impossible for someone to not know.

Philippe could be.

This is what I pulled from the net:
Miller's father "is African-American, Somalian, Jamaican, British, Jewish German, and part Cherokee; his mother is Russian, French, Syrian, and Lebanese.
So he does have black in there somewhere, but I don't think it's quite half though.
Well, that definitely makes him more white (or at the very least, non-black) than black. Of all the times that I've seen him, I never thought that he was anything other than a white man.

Yes i heard about that story you are talking about, it was amazing, there is also a guy i use to date who looks alot like ryan phillippe, but he was darker than him. I got this information from imdb a couple of months ago about ryan, there wasn't any proof and ryan hasn't mentioned it. I think it was proberly just some afro centric person trying to claim ryan because alot of black women do this whenever they find a white guy attractive, they try and say he is mixed with something to justify their reason for liking them, kina like when a black women is pretty, some people try and say she is mixed with something. But you are right, it is possible.but either i think he is fine.

Where is the French? Phillippe, the way he pronounces it, is a French name. He is probably mixed or 1/4 black creole. His son with Reece Witherspoon has golden skin, that's what made me thing he was black, plus he has curly hair.
He ain't fooling us black people! We Know!

Wentworth Miller's father is not part Somalian. He's a light skinned black man of mixed heritage.

since you are the expert then...please do enlighten us on just what his "mixed" heritage does include? Because if you know he's not part Somalian you must know what else he is then...

or did you just ignorantly assume that because he was light skinned he cant POSSIBLY have any Somali blood in his veins? I know a couple light skinned Somalis actually...

Exactly! While he was trying to secure the role as a biracial in "The Human Stain", there were talks that he played up his "African" heritage so that he could get the role. I'm sure that's not a shock though.

Wentworth is not of Somali heritage because his father is AFRICAN AMERICAN! His dad is a Yale educated lawyer and former Rhodes Scholar. Wentworth's father is not Somali.

Actually, this is a false statement. Louisiana is full of Haitian Creoles who came prior to and during the Haitian Revolution...They are highly related.

That is not to say that all Creoles are Haitian, but a ton of Louisiana Creoles are.

Anatole Broyard, for example...part of his family came from Haiti. John James Audubon was also Haitian....and most Louisiana whites have been found to have as much as 30% sub-saharan admixture...

Anyway, Philippe looks like he could easily be quadroon, but who really knows...

LOL I didn't know his father was part Somali. Well now I adore Prison Break and him extra. He is hot :). Since his father is part African American, Jamaican and Somalian that makes his father Black in the US :)
