According to a June 2011 article in Golf Digest, Obama played 60 rounds of golf over his first two years as president.

From Obama's inauguration on Jan. 20, 2009 through July 31, 2011, at least 1,019 U.S. troops were killed in Afghanistan, according to a CNSNews.com database of casualties in that war. Those 1,019 deaths equal 64 percent of the total 1,588 U.S. military deaths in Afghanistan since the war started there in October 2001.

Obama refers to this country's Military as his?

Obama's Peace Partners Murder Three Special Forces Solders

9-21-13

"For the whole of his presidency, Obama has been strongarming the Afghan government to partner with these savages. Obama demanded that Karzai negotiate with them.

Obama used the NATO summit to pressure Afghan leader Hamid Karzai to engage with greater urgency with the Taliban about a political settlement in Afghanistan. "Political settlement" is a euphemism for surrender to jihad. And the cows in the media remain silent on Obama's unprecedented failure in Afghanistan.

Karzai has said that Mullah Omar (a designated Muslim terrorist with a $10 million bounty on his head) can run for president.

The Obama Administration announced that it wanted to meet with the Taliban in Doha for “peace talks.” The Taliban laughed and never showed.

By 2015, firearm fatalities will probably exceed traffic fatalities for the first time, based on data compiled by Bloomberg.

Actually...I do have to give up something because others drive drunk. I can't have a couple of beers and drive even though I am fine because others may not be.

I don't have to give up my car but I had to..

Take a test before I could legally operate that car

Register that car

Be responsible with that car or my privilege to drive that car is taken away. WHETHER OR NOT I have hurt someone with it yet or not.

Regularly go through check points at night because others drive drunk.

Have plates in front and back of that car which identifies who I am.

Be a certain age before I could even operate a car.

Insure that car

If only we had the same rules for guns as we do for cars...

Also...your story about firearm fatalities only goes on the further prove my point...we put tough restrictions on motor vehicles, not guns. And that is exactly why firearm fatalities will start to exceed motor vehicle fatalities.

I agree. He mentioned limiting magazine capacity. The nut jobs that do mass shootings, what he is complaining about, prepared well in advance. The Newtown and Colorado incidents come to mind. A regulation like that would have done nothing. Limiting magazine capacity is a useless regulation and could even be harmful for law abiding citizens.
Exactly. You're right that they planned things out. Contrary to what some people believe, mass shooters don't just snap. The Navy Yard shooter used a shotgun so limiting magazine capacity didn't even apply to him.

An unanswered question in the Navy Yard mass murder

Aleister, who writes for College Insurrection, has his own excellent blog, American Glob.

In a post yesterday, Aleister noted how quickly the media dropped any interest in the politics of the Navy Yard shooter … as soon as it became clear that the was a mentally-ill liberal black man, not a conservative/Tea Party/right-wing white guy, Why Has The Media Stopped Talking About The Navy Yard Shooter?:

The media typically loves stories about people who go on shooting sprees but just a few days after the Navy Yard shooting story broke, no one in the media is talking about it anymore. Why?

The answer is pretty simple. The story didn’t fit the media’s preferred gun control narrative.

Had the story been about a white Tea Party member as everyone in the liberal media was hoping, we’d still be bombarded with coverage of the story. Black guy? Liberal? Mentally ill? The story no longer served any purpose for the left’s agenda so it was dropped.

The same phenomenon took place as to the Family Research Council shooter, motivated by a Southern Poverty Law Center hate watch list. Almost complete media disinterest, including in the sentencing this week.

A good case in point is David Sirota of the very white Salon.com , who is obsessed with the overwhelming whiteness of mass shooters.

After the Boston Bombing, Sirota generated quite a lot of controversy when he wrote that he hoped the bombers were White Americans."

David Sirota - Lets hope Boston Marathon bomber white American

It turned out that the bombings were committed by Chechen immigrants fixated on Jihad.

After the Navy Yard shooting, I wondered, who was Sirota hoping it would be?"

And for those who like to perpetually like to bring up Bush?
"President George W. Bush, who routinely allowed journalists to accompany him on golf outings early in his presidency, told Politico in May 2008 that he decided to give up the game in August 2003 after a bomb attack on the United Nations headquarters in Baghdad that killed a top U.N. official.
“I don’t want some mom whose son may have recently died to see the commander-in-chief playing golf,” Bush said.“I feel I owe it to the families to be in solidarity as best as I can with them.”
“And I think playing golf during a war just sends the wrong message,” Bush said."

But we must be fair. The collective village must be punished for the act of an individual. Just ask Hillary. Now that I think about it, could it be a mere coincidence that gun violence increased upon the Hildebeast sharing her gem of wisdom that it takes a village to raise a child? It's not the child's fault when they do bad but instead, it's the village's fault.
