Cool! Gunsmoke was the longest running western on tv!(20 years)

Without a doubt, Festus helped to make that show!

Dennis Weaver's character "Chester" wasn't too bad either.

It's funny seeing "McCloud" playing as a cripple!

I think it is amazing to see a lot of stars back then when they were younger.

One show I can't stand is Gene Autry and his sidekick. It's almost as degrading as The Lone Ranger and Tonto.

I agree! It's also amazing to see some of the then not so famous actors climbing up the ladder!

Jeanne Cooper, then a virtual unknown, for example, guest starred in episodes of "Have Gun, Will Travel, "The Big Valley", and "Bonanza".

Since 1973, she's played "Catherine Chancellor" on the daytime soap, "The Young And The Restless".

At age 84, she's now leaving the show and will retire, I hear.

Hell yeah. Clint Eastwood is my favorite actor. I love the Outlaw Josey Wales, High Plains Drifter, and Pale Rider flicks. Recently I saw a western called Open Range with Robert Duvall and Kevin Costner and it was one of the best westerns I have ever seen. Great gunfight in the movie.

That was my favorite when I was a kid, and still is. I thought I had seen every episode but saw one last week that was new to me. That was the best old western ever made.
