Frustrations In Life
by Yu Angel
Never thought it would be so tough growing up
Sometimes, I just want to give up
But there is always a little voice,
Inside of me to cheer me up

I guess life ought to have
Tough times
But eventually hard times will bring you
Happy times
It just depends on how you look at it

Things tend to happen for a reason,
Which is hard to see at first time
You won't see it unless you go seek
Sometimes it takes time to see it,
But most of time all it takes patience

Be patient, and tough times will pass
Rainbows are hard to be seen,
Unless it stormed recently.
Everything will be sunny soon.

Just be patient

As only a few days ago it was full moon, here is one one my poems :)

A full moon’s night

Whatever brought you to my life
So unexpected, fresh and new
A random search on xxx site
A week ago I had no clue

Talking to you to entertain
Me and you in a full moon night
All my words are just so plain
That you can feel me right

Yesterday I was loving you
Without even touch
With only word so tru
That you could see the match

So you see what happened to you
I touched you
I touched your soul
Without even touching you

So I’m standing here to confess
That I’m feeling you
There is no need for a guess
It just feels true

So remember these words
When you struggle hard
Hard for yourself
For a new start

That I’m here waiting for you
And my heart – it beats for true
For you
When I say “I love you”

enjoy :)

I have always seen life for what it really is.
Ever since I was a child growing up, hard times are all I know.
I had to sit back and watch my mother work from sunset to sundown.
I had to sit back and watch my mother work herself to her grave.
Nothing ever came easy for her.
She always had a heart and kept a smile on her face.
Life is like a newborn baby struggling to come out of its mother's womb,
life is a struggle true enough, but after all the struggling you have done,
and after all the hell you have been through, there is success.
Life is nothing but a big struggle, but just keep the faith and focus on your goals.
Don't let life beat you or you will be walking around like zombies.
Keep on pushing, keep on trying, life can be whatever you make it to be.
But life can also be a bowl of cherries with whip cream and apple pie.
I say this again; life is what you make of it.
You can achieve or conquer anything it throws at you,
you can't quit or give up, you have got to keep on working,
look higher some way, some how you are going to make it.
For anyone going through hard times right now, may peace find you.
Oh I really liked this one Kaley, beautiful poem, thank you.

The Person I Long To Be
By Victoria A. Mogyorosi
The day light breaks again
Another day has begun.
But still no sleep has come.
My body is weary
My mind overworked.
I lie awake thinking
But what I am unsure.
I need to break free from the cycle I endure.
Everyday is the same and the nights are undistinguished.
I feel as though I am being pushed along with the tide
Unable to break free from the everyday flow.
This is not me I need to change, before time takes over
And I am unable to change.
I need to be freed from the grasp of ordinary
And become that person I have always longed for.
Express myself in every way, and conquer the dreams as I lie awake.
Then I may fall asleep and put my mind to rest.
Make changes in my life and help those in need.
I would like to touch everyone's life in a positive way
And leave my mark on society before I fade away.
Nice poem EAB, very nice thank you.

New York Tendaberry
Blue berry
A rush on rum
Of brush and drum
And the past is a blue note
Inside me
I ran away in the morning
New York tendaberry
Blue berry
Rugs and drapes and drugs
And capes
Sweet kids in hunger slums
Firecrackers break
And they cross
And they dust
And they skate
And the night comes
I ran away in the morning
Now I'm back
Unpacked
Sidewalk and pigeon
You look like a city
But you feel like a religion
To me
New York tendabery
True berry
I lost my eyes
I east wind skies
Here where I've cried
Where I've tried
Where God and the tendaberry rise
Where quakers and revolutionaries
Join for life
For precious years
Joined for life
Through silver tears
New York tendaberry
Thought provoking and very beautiful, thank you my friend.

Touched by an Angel
We, unaccustomed to courage
exiles from delight
live coiled in shells of loneliness
until love leaves its high holy temple
and comes into our sight
to liberate us into life.
Love arrives
and in its train come ecstasies
old memories of pleasure
ancient histories of pain.
Yet if we are bold,
love strikes away the chains of fear
from our souls.
We are weaned from our timidity
In the flush of love's light
we dare be brave
And suddenly we see
that love costs all we are
and will ever be.
Yet it is only love
which sets us free.
Maya Angelou

A work of art, oh to be a work of art
Surprise Ice- Kings of Convenience
When past sometimes takes you with soft hands,
forcelessly pulls you to your chair.
Hides you away from these half days,
sunless at the end of the year.
The air is like a knife cutting through you.
A room in the house is always warm.
Stretched out on the bathroom floor, thinking,
of fair days your future may hold.
Love comes like surprise ice on the water,
love comes like surprise ice at dawn.
Deprived of the light and of colors,
the world ends at your window tree.
Darkness creates these illusions,
but pale days can teach you to see.
Rain falls, but no life is given,
weeks pass, no progress is made.
Past sometimes takes you with soft hands,
and all that surrounds you will fade.
Love comes like surprise ice on the water,
love comes like surprise ice at dawn.
Rather than poems I posted lyrics (which may as well be poems) these two are some of my favorite at the moment.
Very nice lyrics Sevas Tra, I couldn't agree with you more, they could definitely b poems.

I'm hoping you won't be a stranger on here, i'll look forward to hearing more from you.:)

Much Madness by Emily Dickinson

Much madness is divinest sense to discerning eye
much sense, the starkest madness tis the majority
In this, as all prevails
Assent, and you are sane
Demur, and you are straightaway dangerous
And handled with a chain.

My absolute favorite poem because it speaks to the fact that the majority of people are conformists and once you step out of the "norm" you are seen as dangerous and insane. Rev. Wright is a recent example of this.

For my friends Tableau and Kaley, good luck to both of you in your futures, keep strong, keep dreaming.

Dreams

Hold fast to dreams
For if dreams die
Life is a broken-winged bird
That cannot fly.
Hold fast to dreams
For when dreams go
Life is a barren field
Frozen with snow.

A Poison Tree

I was angry with my friend:
I told my wrath, my wrath did end.
I was angry with my foe:
I told it not, my wrath did grow.

And I watered it in fears,
Night and morning with my tears;
And I sunned it with smiles,
And with soft deceitful wiles.

And it grew both day and night,
Till it bore an apple bright.
And my foe beheld it shine.
And he knew that it was mine,

And into my garden stole
When the night had veiled the pole;
In the morning glad I see
My foe outstretched beneath the tree.

Invictus

Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the Pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds, and shall find, me unafraid.

It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll.
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.

William Ernest Henley
