Actually, you're wrong. They have the same feelings as whites in the UK or USA or anywhere else:

Some served and fought with blacks in the Army

Some joined-hate groups and despise blacks with a passion

Some worked with anti-apartheid activists during the '70s and '80s and left to live in exile

Some fall in love with and marry black men... etc., etc.

Why try to demonize an entire people whom you know nothing of??

The problem, methinks, is the social structure, set up to pretty much ignore the poverty stricken, white or black. This was a tradition already established. During the U.S. depression of the 30's, jobs were given much shorter hours, so that twice as many could be employed. There's still lots of wild areas in South Africa, and non-race related jobs like the "Job Corps" of the 1960's, and the CCC's of the 1930's, coordinated with an education program, could benifit both the wilds and the youth. A very high percent of the very poor there are still black, so race is not an issue, some white Africans even stated that during the interviews.

But workable social programs are needed by all unemployed, and needed by the civilization damaged wild areas as well. Africa's wild kingdom is one of their greatest assets, except if one lives there its hard to realize. 3rd world nations try too hard to copy European social structure, and it won't work in all areas of the world.(my thoughts)...

That is fine as your opinion. But I am a more of a Kwame Nkrumah kind of a girl. If you know who that is, you will know this is something we will never agree on. So lets just agree to disagree. Africans who live in the US and the UK are treated like trash there. Infact they are subhuman. We in South Africa we are the bosses, whites take orders from us. In fact where I work most whites take orders from me. A British will never take orders from an asylum seeking subhuman from Nigeria or Somalia or whatever funny names you call your African countries. The fact is many black people who are in the diaspora ran away from their improvished countries like Nigeria and Jamaica etc. We South Africans and to an extent Namibians we don't have a reason to leave our country because our standard of living is just like the one in the UK and the US. Top class infrastructure and otherwise. Thats why we've hosted the Rugby and the Cricket World Cup and now the 2010 World Cup is also coming.

Agree with you dude. The difference between South Africa and other African countries is that when we won independence we didn't chase away whites. We manipulated them, we made sure that before they go they must empower US. Now we've took over most of their companies. We didn't take away the farms as most of them are great farmers. With the likes of Zimbabwe, Zambia etc. They chased away whites, they were driven by anger. How stupid. The power cuts problem seems to be over now because its ben two weeks now since we had power cuts. Even the like of Brazil and Argentina has had power cuts before.

Africa must,economically, unite or it will forever be oppressed by outside powers. I'm a very impressed with South Africa's plan to up its finished material exports. This is a dream I have for Ghana. I'm not xenophobic, is just that most of your brothers think that they are better than everybody else, just because the sweep streets in London. On a positive note, I think that Ghana is one of the most impressive and stable countries in Africa. I was impressed with the infrastructure at the AFCON.

A slight digression, PTBW... I personally think that the most destructive American crime is white on white, particularly the non-violent kind that comes from places known as The White House or Congress or Enron.

Violent black criminals DO crank out all or most of the drama though - the live helicopter-cam news footage, the high-speed freeway chases, bank hold-ups, rapes, etc.

While we focus on the latter with wide eyes, nobody is interested in impeaching President Bush and his cronies... as they just LOOT the U.S. Treasury. Weird.
