Boy you need to read up on history, and educate your ignorant behind. And don't come back at me about how none=black you are, cause standing next to me, most of you would look like a tar baby next to me.
But anyways, main thing I want to educate your fool ass on is,that the ancestors of majority of you black tar baby Dominicans was brought on the banana boat from Africa to the Dominican same as the blacks were brought on the boat from Africa to the U.S. In fact the slave ships dropped off blacks to the Caribbean Islands including the Spanish ones first, before dropping blacks off for sale to the U.S.
And also Dominicans have contributed a lot to the crime rate in the U.S. Read up on the way Dominicans had increased the crime rate in NYC's Washington Heights area of NYC. You've got a lot to learn my friend.

Can some Dominican put this thread to rest by just humbly admitting that all Dominicans are black?

Dominicans are black. Thread over. Cause if Chris Brown and Oprah say they are black, theres no reason why Dominicans can't.

Rubirosa is half dominican. But to answer your question,it depends on the person as with any race.In my old neighborhood it was considered somewhat taboo to have a "cocola"(a nickname dominicans give to non spanish speaking blacks). But the few who did where the dominicans already born in new york and somewhat americanized.

Well, now that that has been settled, there is more need to quarrel.

But in order to prevent any other similar neverending-story threads, let's humbly admit that all Latino Americans are black and that Portugues and Spaniards are black as well. Well, that takes care of any possible controversy.

Just something i have noticed.
Most Dominicans have at least some African ancestry. But African is the second largest component in the admixture after European, and then Indian.(its already been proven). There are plenty of white and black Dominicans (even asians) but the average Dominican is easily distinguishable from the average AA. In my opinion, they look nothing alike.
However in every race thread in the internet regarding Dominicans you will almost surely find an African American hammering away trying to prove that Dominicans are just black, and often in a RUDE manner too.
Why?
I've been to the Dominican Republic a number of times, and was married to a Dominicana. Most Dominicnans are "mixed", at least if one journal article i read there is correct. The article said that about 75% of Dominicans are "mulatto", about 10% Black ("Negro"), and the remainder white (blanco).
As best I can tell the "mixed" (mulatto) Dominicans would mostly be indistinguishable from Blacks in America given the way race is perceived and understood in the USA.
Most Americans--white and Black--saw my ex-wife as a light to medium skinnned Black woman. Now her father was about the complexion of Wesley Snipes, and her mother about the complexion of Barack Obama. Perhaps Obama would not be seen as Black ("negro") in DR, but he is seen that way in the USA. And if he wasn't famous he'd have the same trouble catching a cab in Manhattan as I would.
But American perceptions, perceptons of people of Los Estados-Unidos, are different from what you find in Latin America.

Just curious....is there documented proof where "white ppl say your mixed with their blood," ??? and is there documented proof where whites have said they have black bloodlines?

Absolutely! There shouldn't be a problem when AAs claim Latinos since Latinos' are clearly all black. Including Portuguese and Spaniards. So there is really no further need for debating is there?

Quite true, you've analyzed it very well. Which is that in U.S. black people includes more people than just those who are almost completely black, but includes mulattos, and others who are only partially black, whereas in the Dominicancan, and as a matter of fact in most Spanish speaking Caribbean countries, mulattoes, and others mixed with black, are not necessarily seen as black people.

you have a point. if I was in my country of my nationality then I would be labeled mixed. but in the states many ppl mistake me for a light skin black girl and I sometimes claim im black.

Every race has some type of connection to So

Called Black people. Either it be through origin

or pieces of culture.

Yes, even crackkas(Europeans) do to.

We shouldn't be so consumed in proving it to

them but discovering, learning because it is apart

of our history as a people & identity as individuals

The same person to say oprah is not so called

black will be the same to say aboriginals,

negritios, ethiopans, east africans, san people

are not. The non black imposters in north africa

Or any part for that matter are indigenous there.

Europe, Spain, China,

india and the Americas we were

never there in ancient times is what these same

people will tell you.

Africa is a name from the romans

Negro came from the the spanish & portuguse

Black from europe

And AA from America.

There is something wrong with that picture above

Although I know this I will continue to identifty as

Black until otherwise. As for people with the

similar origins, I will identify them as they wished

to be called as long as they acknowledge there

roots. Which is why you made the comment above

Most Latino Americans are in denial. But that doesn't change the fact that we are all part of the great, proud, black brotherhood.
