I understand the frustration, but I get tired of people in interracial relationships thinking that the entire world lives the express hatred towards their relationship. Believe it or not, most people don’t care about your relationship nearly as much as you think (or maybe hope) that they do. If you expect (and possibly look for) hatefulness in others, not only is that all that you will see, you might even end up soliciting it. I have dated interracially and have friends and family members that are in interracial relationships and marriages. In the VAST MAJORITY of instances (i.e. their family, their spouse/partner’s family, and people in general), no one is encountering problems. Sure, they encounter ignorant people from time to time, but who doesn’t?
