I know a lot of men may say yes, some may say no. I have a male friend who thinks that white women are more subservient to their men and as a result are more "desired" as wives then their black and latino(a) counterparts. What do my real brothers think??? Let a Sistah know!

You're trying to hard. Relax!(What do my real brothers think??? Let a Sistah know!) Sounds fake!

You have a very good black man in your life. You mentioned it on another topix. What do you think?

Will you make a better wife to him above the white or latino sisters?

Tell us Miss G, what are your thoughts?

She has a good black man at home? Are you sure? Isn't she the one that started the forum about why so many black men leave their children? Why should you care Ms. G

Yes, Miss G, mentioned on another topix that she has a very happy and responsible black man at home with her for five years now. And yes, she did start the thread on "black men leave their children"!

what is really the meaning of wife for you, cuz I dont think you know. being a wife is not just the color of the skin, not because you are a white woman that not makes you a better wife than the other race, so why dont you ask your husband if you are a good wife, then that will answer this stupid question.

lilmommie, that's great insight on your part! If the majority of the men and women just asked there husbands, boyfriends, lovers, live in's, we wouldn't have to be subjected to these badly worded questions?

I Know i will make a better wife to him because we love each other. But I was just asking because I have heard a few men make these comments about white women. I just wanted to know if some of the male readers of this thread agree with that sentiment or not.

I was NOT by any means saying that because a woman is white or black that she will make a better wife. I was just asking if some of the male readers agree with this pattern of thinking because i have heard men saying that white women are better because they "listen" to their men, and "do whatever their men want them to." As opposed to us black women who tend to have our own thoughts and opinons and express ourselves. I'm not saying that black women are loud, obnoxious or disobedient, but I pride myself as a black woman on the fact that i like to share my thoughts and feelings on a subject etc, and i do expect a little respect in that area from my signifigant other. I think you mistook my question completely.

My reasons for asking these questions are to see what other peoples' opinions and ideas are. I do have a GREAT black man at home, but I was raised without a father and my sister is raising her children without THEIR father. So just because i have no children and i am not in the situation doesnt mean that i cant be AFFECTED by it. I see my sister struggle raising her 2 boys, and it frustrates the hell out of me that she has to go through that. I mean who wants to have to see a loved one go thru sh*t like that? Not one of you would. So dont judge me based on my questions to you...this is what this site is for!

Actually I think non American women (not all of them) are more likely to be subservient, especially when the woman is from a country where subservience is expected. American women are more likely to be financially independent and have so many options (education, job opportunity and so forth) that subservience is not necessary for survival or financial support. I also see a difference in first generation American women or women who emigrated to America at a very young age. They're more outspoken than their elders who came of age overseas. My husband's sisters are meek, quiet and subservient especially the older ones that pretty much reached adulthood overseas and they're black. Culture has a lot to do with it.

Where is the love? You're my kind of woman! Get down, girlfriend, that what am talking about!

That bullsh*t ass show was a project to clarify a thought! But you're right a was a BS piece of thread! I really didn't expect it to take. Hey, you cast your threads apron the waters of topix and what happens to them who knows! The purpose of a thread is to inspire thought! But you also have to consider your audience. Some like the deep things, other like to go lite and even debased! But I will try to come up with something to attract even you Miss G!

Ok! So this question is based on the 2 out of the 3 black men you know, that ran off? Makes since to me to post a stereotype affecting the billions of black men that live on the planet, some of which you are related to including the one you sleep with. Well, I think your mother and sister should have made better choices in selecting their mates and maybe this wouldn't have happend to them. Let's ask that question, attach a race to it and post it to the web. And yes, I will make a judgement about any topic I'd like to posted on this forum.

While some men don’t want there women to be subservient to them, a lot of men do. I believe it’s a lot easier to live with women that are submissive and they do make better wives.

I only asked a question and i have a right to do so. You are not qualified to speak on my mother or sister, so please refrain from judging them. Even a "GOOD" man can make fucked up decisions and choices. He may THINK he is ready for a family, but at crunch time, he may buckle under pressure. So you cant say for sure whether the blame is on my mother and sister's decisions.

Miss G, Where are you? I want to talk to you about that very harsh and cruel post you send my way?

WTF was that about?

Why are you hiding anyway? Yesterday you had over 50 post on just about every thread. Now I only find 1!

Where are you tonight?

My black wife was so disrespectful, neglectful, violent, dominating, emotionally abusive, and ultimately life-threatening that I had to have her arrested and placed a restraining order against her. Yet, I have no desire to run to a white woman per say, because she was just one individual, just as all black women and all women in general all, they are individuals. I'm not interested in putting women in boxes.

I will say that I'm 99% likely to marry another sister when the time comes. I just don't believe that a white woman can fully understand my mentality as a strong brother. It's not so much about race as it is about culture. Believe it or not, some black men more readily identify with white culture. I don't know why this is such a surprise in a white dominated society.
