<quoted text>I have been lucky enough to have been on the Golden Gate Bridge twice. One time to visit Sausalito , and the other was to see the redwoods at Muir Woods. I almost liked the Bay Bridge more , with the way the lanes were stacked on top of each other. Pretty cool. That was the OLD Bay Bridge , and I'd love to see the NEW one. Next time I'm out there (hopefully soon), I'll think of an excuse to go to Oakland so I can travel it lol.
Alright , I'll leave you alone about Stockton. Yop obviously ain't feelin' it lol. How about Modesto? Just kidding ! I've heard Modesto is even WORSE.....if that's possible.
Hey , the Giants are my NL team. I wasn't hating on them lol. ANYONE who keeps the Dodgers out of the playoffs is cool with me. I even have quite a bit of Giants "gear" (t-shirts, a hoodie , a hat). I just hope they look better than they did on Sunday the rest of the season. I'm a little concerned about Pablo Sandoval.....he is getting REALLY big compared to last year.
I have been on the Golden Gate Bridge many times and I love the bridge. It is one of the main symbols of SF. I have been on the Bay Bridge also, but the Golden Gate Bridge is way better. Yeah the Bay Bridge has went through construction and remodeling over the years and looks really beautiful now. Just be ready to pay the toll fees for driving on the Bay Area bridges lol. Oakland is a cool city, but has a lot of crime. Be careful if you go to a Oakland Raiders game lol. Those Oakland Raiders fans are crazy and violent. People bring their children to the Oakland Raider games and the children witness all of the drama at the game. 49er games are a lot more safer than Oakland Raider games lol.

I don't care for the city of Modesto. I haven't been out there in a long time. The last time I was there I was bored to tears lol.

SF Giants are your NL Team. Who is your AL Team??? Why do you hate the Dodgers??? I also have a lot of SF Giants gear ( t-shirts, sweaters, hats, etc). I even have some old Barry Bonds posters that I've had since I was a child. I have a Matt Williams poster also. Yeah Pablo Sandoval is having some issues with his weight. I read a 2013 article on the internet about his weight issues. He needs a better diet and personal trainer. He might be having some stress issues that we don't know about. I hope he gets it together and seek help.

I like the Bay Bridge , but if you're coming into SF from the East Bay , AVOID it at all cost lol. I spent 1 1'2 hrs waiting to get through the toll booth the last time I was there. The San Mateo Bridge is out of the way , but it is much quicker getting into the city from the east. I've been to A's games at the Coliseum , but never a Raiders game. The A's were playing the White Sox one game I went to , and some fans were heckling a Sox player , and he went INTO the stands after them! This was like 1997 or so. Even the baseball fans were unruly lol. Oakland is not bad. I like Jack London Square.

Modesto pretty boring , huh? It can't be any worse than Bakersfield. WOW !! Hot , dry , dusty , and all the people there seem to be on something lol. It's hard to believe it is a city in California , as it seems more like Alabama there. You know , California once you get away from the coast , is pretty damn "redneck". Nothing wrong with that , but I bet a lot of people are surprised if they've never been there before.

Yep , I like the Giants. Buster , Pablo , Matt Cain and the rest. Other than Posey , they don't really have a mega-superstar. They just pitch well , play defense , and get some timely hitting. My TEAM TEAM is the Chicago White Sox. I grew up 10 minutes away from Comiskey Park. I've probably been to 400-500 Sox games in my lifetime. 2005 was the best year of my life because they were WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONS !! Too bad I wasn't there for it , but I heard that the Southside was rockin' for a week afterwards. I don't like the Dodgers because they now are like the Yankees lol. All that money spent on busted-up players lol. I don't see them beating SF this year , at least I hope not.

I agree 100%. I will be watching more Warrior games. Curry is a good player. I am not sure how much longer that he will be with the Warriors.
The Warriors new ownership wass smart they signed him to a 4yr 44 mill contract at the beginning of the yr so he will be a Warrior for while baring a trade or serious injury (= new ownership also getting a brand new state of the art arena in SF also (should open in 2016)and the 49ers getting a new stadium also (opens 2014)..

Great the Warrior's ownership made a smart move. Yes I know about the arena in SF for the Warriors. They won't be moving too far lol. I happy that the 49ers are getting a new stadium. I love Candlestick Park, but it is time for new change lol.

I have been on the San Mateo bridge many times. You know some of the tricks and short cuts in the Bay Area. It's good to know them to avoid headaches. Sometimes you can't avoid them. I know some short cuts myself. LMAO at the 1997 incident that you witnessed at the game. I have been to a few A's games myself. You will see more drama at the Raiders game. I also love Jack London square. You know a lot about the Bay Area lol.

I am don't like Modesto or Bakersfield. Bakersfield is like a desert. California definitely has it's desert areas. You will find some country areas near Marysville. Lodi and Galt are also country areas. Angels Camp is a nice country area.

There is talent on that SF Giants team. Posey is a great player and hopefully a future Hall of Famer. Okay the White Sox is your AL Team. So now I know where you are from cool. I like the A's as an AL Team. As a child I was a huge Texas Rangers fan. I am a Juan Gonzalez and Ivan Rodriguez fan. I will never make it 500 games because I am too busy. Watching the games on TV is more convenient for me. I will try to make it to a SF Giants game this summer. LMAO at 2005 being your best year. SF was pretty crazy when the Giants won the World Series. That is not a reason to hate the Dodgers lol. You are hating on the Dodgers. I don't see the Dodgers beating the SF Giants in the NL West.

Like I said , SF might be my favorite vacation spot. I was also lucky enough to have family there for some time , so visiting there was no big deal. It's pretty easy to get around the Bay Area , except for the city itself. "Hoofing" it (walking) seems to be the way to go. Walking the Embarcadero..........Chinatown .......Union Square.....Fisherman's Wharf/Pier 39......Haight/Asbury.....it's just not the same riding in a car. You really have to walk it to really feel that Frisco "vibe".

I'm sure you , Miss Cali Girl , have some other shortcuts that I don't know , and you can drop them on me any time.

Have you ever been up Yosemite way? That area is WAY COOL. I was out there in December 2006 , and went to a Yosemite-area ski resort in Groveland. Never heard of the place before , I just sort of stumbled upon it. It was AWESOME. Very pretty up there , and not too crowded except for the usual Yosemite crowd. I also liked Truckee (up near Reno in the Sierra). GREAT hiking up that way. It seemed that everyone there was a "hippie" , and had been indulging in the "happy lettuce" (ie MARIJUANA) LOL. Gotta love Cali.!!!

I kind of like deserts lol. I've been ATVing near Joshua Tree , and it's really nice out there. Have you ever been to Palm Springs? I haven't , and I've heard it's quite the party spot lol. I always thought it was just old , rich people , but apparently not lol.

You like the Rangers? LOL. For some strange reason , I do too , except for when they're playing my White Sox. I've always kind of liked the Cardinals , too. Chicago-to-St. Louis is a popular "road trip" to make , and I've went to a few games at Busch Stadium. Yeah , don't worry about making it to 400 games......YOU still need to make it to ONE Giants game at PacBell LOL. I hope you get around to it soon enough.

I agree that walking is the way to go when you are in China Town, Union Square, the SF Piers and the Embarcadero. Driving in Union Square is a nightmare for me. It's very busy and there are one way streets. There is some crazy driving in SF. Especially after 5 pm during the work week. I usually park my vehicle in a parking garage (of course you have to pay for parking) and I then walk to my destinations. You definitely feel the Frisco vibe when walking the city. You are exposed to the diverse cast of people and the beauty of SF. It's breath taking. Mr. Chicago Guy I would be delighted to share my short cuts & alternate routes with you lol. Let me know when you take another trip to the Bay.

Yosemite is definitely a future place that I want to explore. Everyone keeps telling me that it's awesome and fun. I have seen the beautiful pictures of Yosemite. I have been to Reno before, but I have not had a chance to hang out in Truckee. I guess I will have to dress up like a hippie when I get the chance to explore Truckee lol. I will keep my distance from the happy lettuce lol. I will stick to the Tequila shots lol.

Okay so you are a desert guy. How was it ATVing near Joshua Tree? I bet it was really fun. I have seen pictures of Joshua Tree and the place looks amazing. Palm Springs will definitely be a future place to explore for me. When I lived in Southern CA I did not get a chance to visit Palm Springs. I have heard that it is a party area with rich people of all ages. Are you a party guy???

Yes I liked the TX Rangers when I was a child. My family is originally from Texas. Why do you like the Texas Rangers Mr. Chicago Guy?? LMAO at you not liking the Rangers when they play the White Sox. You are way too funny. So you are a Cardinals fan. I liked Ozzy Smith back in the day. How is that Busch Stadium? Well in the past I have been to SF Giants games at Candlestick Park. I will make time to go to a game at Pac Bell this season. I am taking some time off work this summer. When Pac Bell opened in 2000 I had already relocated to Southern, CA. I lived in Southern CA for a while so I have a good excuse lol.

Nah I'm not hatin'. But if the Lakers have any plans on making back to the big dance they're going to have to be a little more than 1 dimensional (Kobe-centered).

I am going for the MVP and the Heat. We will see what happens in game 3. I don't think the Pacers will pull it off.
