Discrimination is only a roadblock if you let be. This is an evil society. Everyone hates everyone. Skin color stopped being the main issue decades ago. People smash their own friends and family for material gain, and that is not likely to get better anytime soon. Long gone are the days where hard work made a person feel good. Now it just leads to complianing and whining that their neighbor doesn't have to work that hard. Women and men should just do their best and be proud of their efforts. Give it your all and you will look back and be proud of yourself. Don't complain about outside barriers holding you back, because that is just pathetic and a sign of modern societal decay. Grow up and be accountable.

You are so true!!! I have heard that on every interview, especially when white women are the interviewer, "Why don't go into modeling?" "Why do you want to be here in Marketing" "You should be in fashion" It makes me so mad that they think a beautiful black women should just be for eye candy! I shoot back those industries do not have the level of professionalism and integrity that I am looking to make a career out of! It is double hard for beautiful black women, you have to work a millions time harder to prove to "these" people that yes I am intelligent, friendly and beautiful.
I think the same could be said regarding any beautiful woman, black or white. I've told some of the women I know that they could/should be models, and I meant it only as a compliment. However, I suppose it would be annoying if you heard it all the time, instead of remarks about your skill or intelligence.

Duly noted.
