I enjoy this thread too; a nice balance of sports talk blended with civility. Good to see a few ladies enjoy sports just as much as the guys!

Carolina is good when Cam Newton's game is on point. He's been lighting up mofo's defenses. Very very underrated quarterback. With that #1 or #2 ranked defense, they could surprise the elite NFC contenders come playoff time like the Saints, 49ers and the Seahawks.
Your boy Arthur Blank MIGHT go shopping for a new head coach in the offseason. As beastly as that offense is, there's no points being put on the scoreboard. As much as I hate Matty Ice, it's definitely not his problem for non production of scoring.
That Whiteboy Greg Olsen is a beast. He's deadly after the catch and is a mismatch with many secondary defenders. I see that your Bears grabbed up my boy from Dallas in Jay Ratliff. He stayed injured in Dallas but when healthy, he's an animal. Them Bears been getting our releases lately like Marion Barber, Martellus Bennett and a few other mofos. Bennett is nice, too bad we let him go but he wasn't starting over Jason Witten.
Your Bears better hold down that ace spot in that division.
He might go shopping for a new coach.Or he may give him one more year to see if a healthy Falcons squad can be the same team that made it to the playoffs last year.Yep,we got Barber after the cowboys ran him to the ground,he wasnt the same beastly power back as he was in Dallas. In his prime he has to be one of the hardest runners ever. When Olsen was in Chicago he was one of their main weapons on offense. He was weak at blocking though.I think the Panthers can go deep in the playoffs as long as Cam stays healthy. Hes a threat with his legs and arms. And in the playoffs when youre facing the best defenses/pass rushers,it helps to have a mobil Q.B that can make plays when the play breaks down.

As far as a new coach, your boy the offensive coordinator from the Broncos, Jack Del Rio would be perfect for your style of offense but he might take that head coaching job at Southern Cal. He loves to throw the rock and you got studs at the receiver and tight end spots. Mike Smith is a scrub and is holdin' that squad down, sort of like Jason Garrett for my Cowboys. Yes, y'all got mad injuries but with the in depth talent of offense is no reason that y'all ain't putting points on the scoreboard. The Falcons MIGHT make power moves on getting a high octane offense AGAIN but we shall see. Maybe a CHANGE at the QB spot would do better. Matty Ice might be on the choppin' block too. Falcons have a true blue offense and Stephen Jackson has to stay healthy. You know that he's still a 1K back seasonally.

Them Patriots should've won last night. Tom Brady had reasons to fuss over that bullshyt. Rob Gronkowski was held and it was clear as day. It should've been 1st and goal at the one... and we all know that the Patriots would've scored but Carolina did play beastly.

Can Carolina get up with the elites in the NFC come playoff time ? Can they take that NFC South ?

That's why i mentioned it last night how they threw the flag in the end zone and took it back.Even the sports announcers(John Gruden and Terico)disagreed. At home, the home team is gonna get that win and reward the ticket payers. The League knows the patriots could afford this loss as they still are comfortably on top of the division, plus it was a non-conference loss(NFC team).I even said "it looks like this is set up for the Panthers to win it on ths last drive" before they scored. After awhile you get used to the "script".I knew the Patriots would march down the field and get within scoring range to add to the "drama' and "suspense". Everybody got their money worth. It was a good game.I dont think theyll take the NFC south. The saints will. But the panthers will upset whoever they play in the first round is my gutt.

Yes the Broncos won. I watched the game up until the end of the third quarter last night. I was too drunk to watch the fourth quarter lol… The Battle of the AFC West is looking very interesting. I went to one of the best sports bars in my area and that sports bar was very “crunked.” I have heard so much about the Alex Smith story. Smith is a good QB, but Colin Kaepernick took my 49ers to the Super Bowl in 2013. Yes I agree there is a lot of football left in the season and anything can happen.
Yes the Seahawks keep on winning. They placed a beating on the Vikings yesterday but, they have a BYE WEEK next (it’s about time). My 49ers lost again yesterday against the Saints. We keep losing these close games. Both teams played great “D” and this game went down to the wire. I did not agree with penalty call against my 49ers late in the fourth quarter (hit on Drew Brees). This penalty cost my 49ers the game. My 49ers play the Redskins next and should win this one. We will definitely beat those ATL Falcons. Oh yes Cali Girls who how to get it crunk lol. Hey my LA Lakers beats the Pistons last night lol…. Go 49ers!!!!!
lol at too drunk to watch the 4th. I bet you're fun when youre tipsy ; ).I see yall play the redskins on monday night. So all of us will get to see your team on center stage. They should win. That was a fcked up call at the end i agree. The saints where at home so you know how that go.Thats why home teams are usually favored by 3 at least(due to favorable calls from refs and other factors). The refs gave the saints that final 3 pts to win.Thats why they call it home field advantage. And why teams fight so hard in the regular season to get it in the playoffs. I havent even watched much basketball lately. That's a sport i rather play than watch. That was my first love(before my knee injury). But its hard for me to sit and watch it on t.v for a whole 4 quarters. And when i do,its usually playoff time(thats when i can watch it).I can watch a whole football game with no problem.Dont worry about that 2 game losing streak ms Cal,yall will still make noise when it counts.

Jack del rio likes big defenses,.When he was coach of the Jaguars his d-line was always the biggest D-line in the league with John Henderson,Marcus Stroud and them boys(remember them?).They was physical, thats why they used to give Payton manning hell back when he played with the colts in the same division. They used to pound the ball more than most teams with Fred Taylor and Maurice Jones Drew.Thats the stlye he likes. And the Falcons have always been a running team,so he would make a good fit.

I would like to get back to the old school falcons that where known for defense and running the ball .Back when we had Keith Brooking,"Big play" Ray Buchanan, and Jessie Tuggle in the 98 super bowl year. Then in later playoff years(2003) we had big bwoy T.J Ducket running the ball with Warick Dunn, and Micheal Vick(a threat running the ball) As for me if i was the GM i wouldnt let go of Coach Mike just yet. This would only be his first year missing the playoffs since coaching. And they usually win the division. I would keep him on a short leash though. But you know fan/media politics is involved, and if Del Rio becomes a hot name, the owners may feel pressured to let go of Mike and pick up Del Rio.

Yeah, I remember when Ray Buchanan and Shannon Sharpe was throwin' hots at each other before that Super Bowl. These niccaz was at it too,

http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news...

When Del Rio was coach for the Jags, he basically had taken over a squad that was already put together by Tom Coughlin before he left to take the job for the Giants. A well put together team. Marcus Stroud was a beast on the D line and that offense was hype. Del Rio put in these big ass 6'7'' inch wide receivers and was killin' mofos with it. Then came in Byron Leftwich with that cannon. I was bitin' on the Jaguars, quiet as kept, even before that lineup when they had Mark Brunell, Fred Taylor, Jimmy Smith and Keenan Mc Cardell. That offense was deadly.

About Arthur Blank, he's an impatient mofo and don't be surprised if Mike Smith is gone with his bags packed. The organization is very impatient right about now, especially coming so close but no cigar for a NFC title. Blank already thought that he'd rebuilt his team when drafting Matty Ice, Julio Jones, Roddy White and acquiring Tony Gonzalez from the Chiefs. He's a good team owner and he wants to win. I like ol boy and he's come so close many times.

Other than Del Rio, there will be some more assistant and head coaches available come the end of the season but it seems like Del Rio would be an excellent fit for that Falcons' offense. We'll see how shyt plays out but don't count on Mike Smith coaching them Derdy Birds come next season.

lol,I remmember when Ray called sharpe a horse. They was clownin'.Yep,just like free agent athletes, each year you have coaches ready to get promoted after they win a super bowl,or make it far into the playoffs. The Jags back then had Rashean Mathis and other corners that liked to jam recievers. Their problem was like the Ravens, they sometimes where too aggressive on defense and make stupid personal fouls during key parts of the game. Also the refs liked to throw the flags on them. They jwasnt a big market team so the NFL wasnt too much in a hurry to send them to the super bowl(which is why i dont think seattle going this year). Its all about t.v ratings.$$$

Your boy Rasheen Mathis plays for the Lions now and I watched the Steelers' wideout Antonio Brown smoke him all day last Sunday like a tavern ham. Mathis is old skool now but he was a beast. One of my favorite shutdown corners at one time.

I don't think ANYONE of those NFC West teams will be Super Bowl bound. I took the 49ers the last two seasons to get a title and I end up losing gwap both seasons, especially last year. I lost 875.00 fckin' with those Niners but they could be possible this season.

For real for real, DON'T COUNT OUT THOSE SAINTS in that NFC, or Carolina cause they can beat the Saints too. The NFC is very undecided at this point.
