Yeah bruh, Pete Carroll got caught up in some shyt but he bounced before shyt hit the fan, and was a smart move. I really like ol boy.
With Saban, he's more like a father figure to his athletes than a head coach. His jellin' with his players is like one of a kind. When he got to the NFL, he knew instantly that the pro ranks wasn't for him. Bill Parcells was the Director of Football Operations for the Dolphins at that time. People wanted to see that work out and that was the last time the NFL has had him. Saban is a GIFT in the collegiate ranks.
People forget when Nick Saban coached the dolphins, they where a top 5 defense and had a good running team. The same style hes playing in Alabama. They ust had no offense when he coached Miami.

Lets talk about the big elephant in the room, sports fixing/gambling. Does it go on?

"Several years ago, I received a copy of an FBI-302 report, which detailed the FBI's investigation of NFL referees and game officials. The report stated that "two or three referees" had been paid $100,000 by a New York Mafia figure for their participation in each of eight allegedly fixed games-- which I list on page 308 of Interference. The referees' alleged job was to ensure that the unnamed mob figure covered the spread and, thus, won his bets. The referees' names were not mentioned in the FBI report.-- Moldea

Did he say New York Mafia figures?!?!..
Referees involved?

But the IRS probe, according to the Halper, collapsed when agency chiefs--despite the reliability of the informant's information--refused to authorize a full-scale federal investigation, even though the IRS had concluded that the games had, indeed, been fixed.(Rumors persist that agency officials--who had received the outcomes of NFL games in advance of the contests--were scoring their own betting coups.)

Can it be true?! Referees and Owners are involved in game fixing?

On August 23, 1989, after the publication of Interference, I was contacted by an intermediary, who told me that NFL league officials wanted to know, among other things, the names of the two referees. On August 25, I met with Warren Welsh, the director of NFL Security, in Las Vegas. I provided him with: a) the FBI report, b) the names of the two NFL referees, and c) the names of all but one of my confidential sources during this particular investigation. The exception was the beard, who asked that his name not be disclosed. The other sources had given me permission to reveal their names and information to Welsh.

What is the director of NFL Security doing in LAS VEGAS?

Hugh Culverhouse was professionally involved with the De Bartolo family, long-believed to have organized crime connections.(Eddie De Bartolo, Jr. was the owner of the San Francisco 49ers. His sister owns the team now.) Culverhouse was the attorney for the sale of the team to De Bartolo.(Ibid.; p. 289.)

18. Oakland Raiders owner Al Davis, himself connected to organized crime, helped broker the sale of the 49ers to De Bartolo.(Idem.)

19. A 1982 Customs Department report alleged that the De Bartolo organization had succeeded Meyer Lansky as the financial wizard or organized crime.(Ibid.; pp. 352-353.)

20. De Bartolo, Jr. was defiant about an apparent conflict of interest between his ownership of the 49ers and his father’s proprietorship of the Pittsburgh Maulers of the now-defunct USFL.(Ibid.; 354.)

21. Much of the rest of the program is devoted to an examination of the business relationship of mob associate Allen Glick and Raiders’ boss Al Davis.(Ibid.; pp. 274-277.)

22. When Glick’s dealings became the focus of a lawsuit by Davis business contact Tamara Rand, see was murdered in a gangland-style killing.(Ibid.; pp. 275-276.)

The league can legally fix its games

“In a May 20 NFL court case concerning the New England Patriots ‘Spygate’ scandal, Sr. U.S. Circuit Judge Robert E. Cowen ruled that, at best, tickets to a football game don’t come with the promise that the contest will be a fair one. Fans only have the legal right to see a game, and nothing more. The league doesn’t have to follow any certain rules or laws regarding the outcome of these games.”

This decision arose because the NFL is a self-contained entity that exists without any meaningful oversight from any outside body looking over its shoulder.

All pro sports are fixed expecially the NFL. Thats where all the money is. All the owners are mobsters and have direct ties to all the global casinos that take bets. I was taught long ago that if you bet against big market or popular teams (Raiders for example, not a large market but a popular club. Or the NY Giants,a huge city, lots of local money bet on them) when they are getting too many points or not giving enough, you can make a comfortable living.

The reason for this is if you do fix a game, you want to encourage as much betting as possible the other way because it's not people placing bets that fix games, its people that take bets that try and fix games.

An FBI investigation revealed that several KC Chiefs games were taken off of Las Vegas sports book boards for "suspicion of game fixing" and several Las Vegas sports book directors revealed "games were indeed fixed".

A few yrs ago during a game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the San Diego Chargers the Steelers were favored by 3. Nearly 70 percent of the betting public was on Pittsburgh, with a reported $100 million in potential earnings. The score with less than a minute to go, 11-10 Pittsburgh and SD with the ball. After an errant lateral gets knocked away by Troy Polamalu, he scoops it and scores. The score is now 17-10, there is no time left, all teams head to the locker room, fans go to cash their tickets.

After several minutes of debate, the refs overturn the call, restoring a meaningless TD off the board making the final score 11-10, the Steelers win, the public loses. What I found to be most odd about it is the league's explanation of a "forward pass". The pass was ruled forward although it is obvious it was a backwards lateral.

Since the NFL argues that they are "entertainment" , than they are in charge of the outcome of their own games and can "produce" their television product how they see fit.

Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank was interviewed saying "It is predetermined that these two teams would be here, I wish my team was selected to be in the Super Bowl one day, but these two gentlemen deserve it". And the Giants posted themselves as victors before the game, the NFL claimed it was "an overzealous employee".

It gets better ladies/gents
You wonder how those Patrios won so many rings lately

Patriots owner Robert Kraft and John Mara are two of the most business savvy and highly respected NFL owners. Kraft is in charge of the NFL TV broadcast committee and also leads all television negotiations for the NFL. Kraft also is on the board of directors for Viacom, the parent company of CBS, one of NFL's broadcasters. This past Spring, Robert Kraft negotiated a record TV deal for the NFL which will result in $24 Billion in revenue with CBS, FOX, ESPN and NBC. Kraft and Mara also brought both parties to the table and led all negotiations in ending the lockout.

Lastly, Robert Kraft and Las Vegas casino mogul Steve Wynn plan on opening a casino resort across the street from Gillette Stadium. Is it magic that these two owners who have done so much for the league over the last 20 years magically found themselves playing each other in the Super Bowl? Not to mention all of the nostalgic history between Belichik and Coughlin being former Giants coaches.

Teams always do well when they are about to sell the team or need a new stadium. It business.

The 49ers need a new stadium, with the same players as Mike Singletary, and a Alex Smith in a contract year, the 49ers post a 13-3 record and make it to the NFC Championship. But what they don't tell you is how the stadium deal is structured. 80% of the funding comes from Bank of America and US Bank. 20% financed by the State of California using tax dollars.

The 49ers have pledged to pay back the State in 5 seasons with help from revenue sharing from NFL owners. What better way to pay someone back quickly than with packed stadiums and extra playoff game revenue. On MNF they found themselves in a blackout. Steelers safety Ryan Clark said "it was to show the league they need a new stadium and the 49ers caused the blackout". Why would he say this if shadiness wasn't common practice?

In 2000 Art Model, a storied and respected owner of the Baltimore Ravens announced he was selling the team. Miraculously, even with one of the worst offenses in NFL history, and one of the best defenses, won the Super Bowl. And the Ravens were subsequently sold to Steve Busciotti for a record price. What better way to sell a team but to hype it up so much that you can get the highest price for it?

Don't believe this story? Well how about during the 2011 season the Jacksonville Jaguars announce they are for sale. They are featured (for some strange reason) on several prime time games. Which culminated in one of the biggest fixes in NFL history in the "upset" of the Ravens on MNF 12-7. The Ravens magically looked inept, stupid and pitiful as the Jags won by scoring 4 field goals. The following week the team was sold. And finally, the other item I will mention.

Robert Kraft gets his billion $ TV deal and his casino, the Mara's get their SB and the league splits 80% of the record profits and Roger Goodel gets $20 million a year in salary! They hoped you enjoyed their "presentation of the National Football League".

Things just happen like magic right?

The NFL has removed a video from YouTube of the Bengals/Texans game where CBS announcer Jim Nance discusses the Bengals going for it on 4th down as they were lining up in punt formation. He says "And the Bengals will go for it here on 4th down". Then MAGICALLY Houston calls a Time Out and the Bengals come back out onto the field and go for it on 4th down. Dalton gets rushed and throws an incomplete pass. Turnover on downs. Magic.

Steelers LB James Farrior winking at Tim Tebow during the overtime coin toss. This YouTube channel video was eventual pulled by the NFL and Youtube. Why? Why did the NFL force Youtube to pull this video? Why is he winking? Is he saying "don't worry kid, just throw the ball, we will lay down for ya."

An IRS agent taken off an NFL-related gambling probe: "What we've got here are connections among the Cosa Nostra, the federal government, the big attorneys in the D.C. area, sports figures, and the television news media. We were getting too close to the people at the top.[He} was being protected by people within the Justice Department. P. 171

Soon after the DeBartolos(mobsters) bought the 49ers, an FBI wiretap picked up Los Angeles mobster Jimmy Fratianno discussing a meeting with New Mexico criminal lawyer William Marchiondo to be held in San Francisco. The transcript of the conversation stated:

"Fratianno: Hey don't forget now: when the Miami Dolphins play, you're going to come over here. See, I got it arranged so you're going to sit with this guy, the owner of the 49ers.

"Marchiondo: Well, I want to talk with this guy, but that's a bad time for me to leave..."

Fratianno explained the conversation to my associate, William Scott Malone, "I arranged through this friend of mine [Youngstown Mafia figure Ronald Carabbia] for an attorney in New Mexico to sit with DeBartolo in the press box. They wanted to talk some kind of business. I don't know what it was. So I arranged a meeting."

Fratianno added that DeBartolo, Sr. was "very friendly" with Carabbia. He also said that the two men "used to go on junkets to the Tropicana [in Las Vegas]. And [DeBartolo] was a pretty heavy gambler. He would lose a lot of money. He had a pretty good line of credit in Vegas."
