Apparently alot of AA sistaz don't have a problem with DR sistaz calling them nappy headed chimps in spanish, as long as it saves them a couple of bucks in the long run. If you don't believe me, just ask the Korean businesses in the hood. They've been calling Blacks dumb monkeys for over a decade and getting paid the whole time.

And if you work the person that is signing your checks could be racist. Wtf is your point? We are all here to survive doesn't really matter what someone thinks of you now does it. Get over yourself. As long as you're getting what you paid for who cares.

Because black american women are too catty and jealous of each other to support our own businesses. Watch dominican women become like asians and dominate our beauty industry.

I can't tell most dominicans from AA'S because they BOTH got nappy hair and the same damn features. Just because dominicans may have a lil bit of Tiano and Spanish blood in them don't make them any different than the AA biracials who look like light skinned AA'S!

The only difference between AA'S and dominicans is that dominicans are a lil more mixed and speak spanish...they're STILL BLACK!

Not all domnicans are black and even the ones who are may not consider themselves black. And they surely wouldn never align themselves with black people. I been told this by several dominicans. So i still say this is another group of people making money off us blacks.

I don't give a rat's ass what THEY consider themselves..just like panamanians are BLACK...so are MOST dominicans and all anybody has to do is look at the MAJORITY of them to SEE they're a bunch of MULATTOES that mostly favor light skinned blacks!

I am really getting sick of these Latinos/as and Somalians not cliaming to be black...but yet...their skin and hair and DNA pulls from AFRICAN bloodlines!*rolls eyes*

Not to mention that many of those motherf**kers look more BLACK than some of us AA's!

How is it that people from other nationalities and ethnicities open up numerous amounts of businesses in African American neighborhoods, but there aren't any African American businesses in their neighborhoods.

There is the Chinese food restaurants, Latino owned mini markets/corner stores/candy stores, Latino owned hair salons, Latino owned liquor stores, Indian owned corner stores, Non-black owned clothing stores, Korean owned beauty supply stores, Korean owned nail salons and Indian or Middle Eastern owned dollar stores.

They own all these things in our neighborhoods and we can't open up one descent looking, well organized, clean, great customer service having business.

Now, there are barbershops, hair salons(which by the way is more expensive than the Dominican doobie shops), and soul food restaurants that are owned by black men and women, but why didn't African Americans open up candy stores, beauty supply shops, more restaurants, nail salons, etc.?

I got into a huge arguement with this stupid panamanian heffa at work one time because we were conversating about somethin and she snapped at me and claimed that she wasn't black...and we had it OUT! Now I'm part hispanic myself and I got a little bit of white in me too and I'M considered black and I LOOK like a light skinned black girl. Now SOME people think I look mixed, some think I don't but to me I just look LIGHT SKINNED BLACK! So HOW is it that I'm considered black and I'm prolly MORE MIXED than many of those Dominicans and Panamanians but yet they're NOT BLACK but I AM and they got the SAME DAMN blood in their veins as I DO....can anybody explain this sh*t to me???

How am I black but they are not?

Because for ONE blacks are too scared to open up their own businesses, and when they do they have NO IDEA about HOW to run and operate a business and usually ends up shutting DOWN!

Blacks will NOT support each other because of SELF HATE, blacks are so busy trying to pull each other DOWN instead of supporting one another!

Blacks would rather support some arab owned dollar store than to support one owned by Africans.

I guess it's the curse of CAIN that makes blacks so hateful towards one another like that!

But either way until blacks learn to support each other; they'll forever be on the lower end of the pyramid scale! Sad to say but it's the damn truth!

LOL, you're black because you chose to be. If you don't want to acknowledge your mixed-race roots, fine, these foreigners don't have the same slave history as your people do. A black person in Latin America is generally someone of pure black descent, which you admitted that you aren't.
In my opinion, mixed-race people to any degree have no race, and blacks, whites and asian nationalists shouldn't accept them as one of their own. And if they are not for the advancedment for the black race, you shouldn't even bother, just like I don't care for "white-looking" Jews who are against the advancement of the white race.
I am NOT black because I CHOOSE to be...my BIRTH CERTIFICATE labels me as black and that's the first thing people see when they look at me is BROWN skin...my skin is not even black, but yet; I'm considered black! Most white people ASSume I'm black...so it's NOT about what I choose to be; it's what people SEE!

I have soft features but my hair is more nappy and frizzy like African hair..even though it's very long. So when I straighten it I look kinda afro latina and when I let it go I look more black and so I think people get labeled by what kinda HAIR they have. If you're hair is more caucasion than you're not considered black...but if you have hair that's more like AFRICAN hair then you're considered BLACK regardless of how much mixed blood runs thru your veins!

I can agree with you to an extent but Blacks as a whole do not support each other. That is why so many other races look down upon us. We've made many strides considering where we've come from but the large majority of us still have that Slave mentality.

I'm 42 and I can remember as a child all the stores in my neighborhood were Black owned and operated. When I was about 10 or so I guess that is when the infiltration of foreigners into the hood began. The infiltration started with the Koreans. From there came the towel heads and now we the Dominicans.

If you look, all the businesses that we patron in our own neighborhoods they are not Black owned. You now have towel heads cooking fried chicken and gizzards. I am like WTF. I refuse to patron any of these stores as I know they look down upon Blacks and think they are better than us.

Having said what I've said I guess since we are not providing these services then someone has too. But I wonder if the infiltration of foreigners into Blacks neighborhoods is due to us not pursing ownership of these businesses or something else is at play.

If you look at it from the outside it does make our race look bad because it seems that we can't provide goods and services in our own communities and as you said even if we did open a business most would be jealous and not support it.

We always talk about this Black pride and it only seems to show up in stuff that does not matter.

Yeah, I agree. I also think it's pretty sad that we can't come together as a people to support each other and our community. We give all our money to people who don't even live in our neighborhoods. I kind of think they just think it's easy to make money off of black people. We need to stop being so nieve to what's happening. When will we want change? Or do we want to just let others take over for the sake of assimilating?

If the vast majority of say, Swedes were saying "We're not White, we're not one of you, we're Swedes", any self-respecting White Nationalist wouldn't want to associate themselves with them, no matter how "white" they look.
That's about as ignorant as this white girl's comment to me just a few days back. We were having a discussion and she was telling me how beautiful her MIXED (black and white) daughter's skin was because her daughter was half black. Anyway she went on to say that her daughter got her father's skin and HER hair...and then her friends said "yeah your daughter's has hair like WHITE people" and her mother said "Yeah but I'm not white" and I asked her "Well then what are you, and she said that she was ITALIAN and SPANISH". I told her that Italy and Spain were located in EUROPE and so Italians and Spaniards are considered WHITE and she got upset because I guess she didn't want to be WHITE! How IGNORANT!!!

This proves Dominicans are not black. They open their own hair salons and own the stores in their own hoods, like Cape Verdean people.

And they do not give a rats ass on what you want them to be since they know what they are. And by your own admission most of them are mullattos which mean they are a combination of all races and not just black. So they have every right to claim everything they are and they do not have to claim only black. And they don't they do not identify with black people so they are invading our communities and stealing our businesses.

I've tried a Dominican salon and they thought I was ONE OF THEM until I told them NO, I'm an AA...anyway they blow dried the HELL out of my hair and they got it bone straight like european hair...BUT...they didn't get my hair ANY STRA8TER than a regular AA salon. At an AA salon, I get my hair wrapped or roller set and then they go over it again with the MARCEL irons and I have found that the AA salons are less damaging on my hair than the dominican salons are because blow dryers are VERY HARSH on AA hair and they take ALL the moisture OUT of our hair!
