ARAB CULTURE is NOT ISLAMIC either. MUSLIM does NOT equal arab. And many west africans are more religious than many hypocritical arab muslims I know, especially some sex-crazed arab men. Islam is not all about covering your head. It is a WAY OF LIFE. Like I said, many arab and somali women wear hijab b/c their society forces them. If many of them had the CHOICE, there would be far less of them wearing hijab. So your pics don't prove anything. I understand. In my city I meet many West Africans on a daily basis. They are the most loving community oriented people that Ive ever seen. They are also very successful in my city...many blessings to them. What part of West Africa are you from? Its truly a blessing to be around them...to be invited to their homes and to share dinner... They do believe in preserving their traditions and culture but at the same time they do not project hate to others.

Please share your experiences (both good and bad are much appreciated) ;-) I am currently dating an arabic from the middle east and came here to see if anyone else is the black community is doing the same, im a african american woman from america and he is from uae and we love each other very much. i see arabs with african wives but not non muslim americans so thats why i came here to see if anyone else is. also i have to admit there is a big difference with him and black men for one he saw my inner beauty before my outer beauty and im very serious he didnt even know how i looked before we fell in love. Also i always thought that women who are with a muslim have no rights and i see thats not true. its just a little different, he is the king of the house and he wants his wife to take care of the house she does not have to work for he takes care of everything he is in control of his house. he has to make sure she has everything she needs and make sure she is happy just as she has to do for him

Did you check out this blog? I thought I would NEVER in a million years find a blog about a Black American woman living in Saudi Arabia. Her husband (who is white) works for Aramco and they moved to I believe in 2008. I just started reading her blog today and its very interesting so far. I love her refreshing perspective as she doesnt have a lot of experience (unlike me) with Arab culture so it will be interesting to hear her views. She has a very outspoken personality...reminds me of Wendy Williams so I hope she continues to blog for years to come www.blackchickinsaudi(dot)blog spot(dot)com

If many of them had the CHOICE, there would be far less of them wearing hijab. So your pics don't prove anything. i dis agree with almost everything u are saying first i want to clearfiy i am somalian muslimah and i am wearing jilbaab not coz family or parents forced me but coz its a form of worship and i am obbaying allah by wearing it and that makes me honered and proud please don,t say that we cover coz of others force us its unbelivable what some people think . i disagree too with what u said about islam not being all about hijab but a way of life haa did i get this right ofcourse islam is a way of life and hijaab is part of islam by wearing hijab i am practising islam in my daily life which means i am taking islam as my way of life . u said that islam is not only arab i agree u said that many west africans are better then women crazed arab men did i say it right well again u are right many west africans are better then arabs the west africans who fear allah and practise islam are better then the none practising arabs but bear in mind that the practising arabs ar better then the ignorant west africans or the none practising west africans same thing for somalis all i want to say is its not about race or sticking to ur own country no its about islam and the pity of the person so who ever u are arab or west african somalian what ever if u are god fearing muslim then that makes u good . please sister or brother do not talk badly about fellow muslims arabs or none arabs do something usful what u doing is called asabiyat aljahlyaa in arabic which is forbiden in islam and if u are an arab hater i would say to u do u hate the sahba do u hate the ansaar do u hate the muhajereen most of them were arab the prophet peace be up on him was an arab for god sake stop ur arab hating ways the prophet said peace be up on him loving the ansaar is from imaan and everyone knows ansaar were arabs . we are not by the way arab wanaa bes we are east africans and proud to be east africans some of us have arab in there blood like yamen we tend to marry from them and we have almost the same culture and even if thats the case and we want to be arab wana bes whats in it for u why not mind ur own thing and why poke ur nose in that lol peace sorry if i offended anyone salaam

Wow you really are disgusting. You must not have that much faith in Islam if you believe that the only reason a woman would convert is for 'Arab d-ck'. For your information, I became Muslim almost three years before I met my husband, after being introduced to it by a white FEMALE Muslim friend.(Ironically, her conversion was more along the lines of what you said, and she now considers most Arab men to be pigs and she went back to Christianity.)

I almost laughed at his stupid comment, when almost every single Arab woman with the money to do it goes and carves her face up like a jack-o-lantern, colored contacts and bleached hair trying to look like a Russian woman, or an alien, I'm not sure what they are trying to do exactly but the result is hideous. I don't see the majority of black women bleaching their skin, but every Arab TV station is bombarded with Fair and Lovely ads.
