You all do know it is not a real rule!
Jimi was multiracial. he was comprised of three spepeartye and distinct races. Why should multiracial people have to feel that it is somehow bad to claim what they really are? There is no need for Jimi to be ashamed that he was part Caucasian and part Cherokee Indian.
No black person is trying to make multiracial people do anything. AA have been defined as black regardless of mixture for hundreds of years and it hasn't changed, until maybe over the last 10 years or so with some mixed people claiming something other than AA. But most AA are heavily mixed so what's the point? In America "black' is not a race. Or it's a race in the same way that Mexican is a race.

So many people think he is a black man when he was actually Caucasian, Cherokee, and Black.
Its important to keep your facts straight. ;)
I'm sure Jimi would only want people to think of him as a musician. Who cares if he has white and Indian blood?

So if he was biracial, he was just doing his thing then.
If Jimi loved ww sooo much, how come he had a full black daughter? Her name is Tamika Laurice James Hendrix, how many mixed girls do you meet called Tamika?? And FYI, his parents were both black. His mother was just light skinned.

There are a lot of white women who give their mixed daughter black sounding names. The r&b singer named tiny from escape has the birth name tameka and her mama is white.

Did jimi hendrix?
did he have any kids?

Best Answer - Chosen by Voters
Possibly a daughter and a son.

Information about Jimi's girlfriends and children:

1972: Diane Carpenter loses her fight to have her daughter Tamika recognized as Jimi's heir on the grounds of the time taken to bring the suit and the lack of a blood test to identify the father.

1975:A Swedish court rules in Eva Sundqvist's favor that Little Jimi was the son of Big Jimi. She says she would never have brought the suit had she not been threatened with losing her welfare benefits if she refused to name the father.

"Wha?

It was around summer 1966 that Hendrix's only daughter, Tamika, was conceived to mother Diana Carpenter, a teenage prostitute."
----------

If Tameka was Jimi's daughter, why did his father leave control of Jimi's estate to his Japanese stepsister, Janie???

Tameka might be Jimi Hendrix's daughter, but she doesn't look like him to me!

Why did Jimi's black mother abandon him as a child and leave him with his father???

Well i'm sure his ASIAN stepsister, Janie, is grateful that his mother, like MOST black women, walked out on her husband. After she left, his father, Al Hendrix, married a JAPANESE woman and adopted Janie, her daughter.

Because of a blackwoman's TREACHERY, the ASIAN woman(who incidently have the lowest divorce rate of all races of American women)wins out again!(Hendrix's estate is estimated to be worth $80 million dollars).

It is well known that Jimi's ancestry was black, white and Cherokee.

However, "black" is a cultural label, an ethnic group in the USA. In that sense, Jimi was black. Just like Barack Obama is "black" because he lived in the USA as a "black" person... treated as such by whites and blacks alike.

Jimi Hendrix was in many ways a confused individual. A guitar genius, yes... But he had some deep problems with women, and was known to have beaten up a number of the groupies who were attracted sexually to him and other band members.

Jimi never said this publically because it would have offended most of his fans, but he SUPPORTED the Vietnam War!

I find Jimi to be personally offensive in a number of ways, but I still am amazed listening to cuts like "Voodoo Child", and to the later more strictly blues stuff he did which was less popular.

Men tend to socialize with the race of women in their enviornment. Since he was a ROCK STAR, most of his women as well as his male associates were WHITE.

This is one of my favorite videos of Jimi Hendrix hangin' out backstage with the Rolling Stones.

Complete biography of Jimi Hendrix
The complete biography of Jimi Hendrix, from his birth in Seattle to his death in London.

Excerpt: "Jimi Hendrix was born Johnny Allen Hendrix at Seattle's King County Hospital on November 27, 1942 at 10:15 a.m. Jimi's father, James A. Hendrix or Al, renamed him James Marshall shortly after his mother abandoned him."
----------

This is June Hendrix's, Jimi's stepmother's obituary. His father married her 2 years after his mother left.

http://community.seattletimes.nwsource.com/ar...

Ayako "June" Hendrix, stepmother of legendary Seattle-born guitarist Jimi Hendrix, worked hard to make a cozy home for her family.

She was adept at cooking both her traditional Japanese fare and her adopted African-American soul food.

She encouraged her children in all their endeavors. And she sewed and crocheted clothes for everyone.

But the woman who spent World War II in a relocation camp also made time for laughter, shopping and talk with the friends she made wherever she went.

Mrs. Hendrix died of cancer Friday (Aug. 20). She was 79. She had fought back from a 1980 stroke.

Born in Puyallup to Kimiko Shimamura and Kumaichi Fujita, she went to Japan at age 7 to live with her grandparents and go to school.

At 22, she returned to the U.S. and spent World War II interned with others of Japanese ancestry at Idaho's Minidoka Relocation Camp. There she married Satoshi Jinka, whom she later divorced.

After working as a dry cleaners' tailor and presser, then as a housekeeper, she met James "Al" Hendrix, Jimi's father.

She wed Hendrix in 1966. She considered his children by another marriage as her own. She also persuaded him to adopt her youngest child, Janie.

"Friends introduced us. We just hit it off," said James Hendrix. "She was a Buddhist and I was a Methodist, but it didn't make any difference.

"She and Jimi got along fine. Jimi was glad that I got married again ... and Jimi and June got real close. Jimi enjoyed having a

baby sister again."

Mrs. Hendrix learned to love Jimi's music. Her favorite tunes were "Foxy Lady," "Purple Haze" and "All Along the Watchtower."

"Oh, wow, she loved it," said her son, Willie Jinka of Edmonds. "There will be a rock band playing `Foxy Lady' at the funeral. She always called herself a foxy lady. She was pretty much a character."

She wore purple dresses, purple hats and glasses with a purple tint.

James Marshall "Jimi" Hendrix died in 1970 at age 27 of a drug overdose.

Mrs. Hendrix acquired her nickname of "June" while working at the dry cleaners, where co-workers could not pronounce her name.

"She was born in June," said Hendrix, "so she told the other women to call her June."

Also surviving are her other children, Marsha Lake, Kent, and Linda Jinka, Donna Jinka and Janie Hendrix, all of Seattle; her siblings Hiroshi Fujita, of Tacoma, and Kazuma Fujita and Kikuko Morita, both of Seattle; and numerous grandchildren.

Sorry. She didn't marry Hendrix's mother 2 years after she abandoned him (he was a baby when she abandoned him), but like it says, they were married in 1966.
