<quoted text>troll that thread is not about real "african features" it was your attack on so called half breeds...half breeds means bi-racial idiot I don't have a parent of just one race so therefore I am not bi-racial being racial mixed doesnt' make you bi-racial
i have family that look like vanessa wiliams (minus the colored eyes) and ciara etc. you find alot of people that look like her in west africa
anyways these pictures will refute your bias, these people are fulani (the largest nomadic group of people in africa)

name the tribe?!!! i'm from uganda (well both my parents were born and raised there) and within my country alone there are a total of 61 tribes and it is nearly impossible to just look at someone and say "he/she is from this tribe".

how do you know? the fulani have alot of nations, there are wodaabe, fulakunda, halpulaar etc. some are lighter than the others and some darker than the others
most of my maternal family are very light skinned my maternal grandfather had straight hair and very sharp features yet he was pure african
you cannot compare a fulani from sudan to a fulani from nijer or a fulani from senegal to a fulani from nijeria, there is always a difference in phenotypes
it is also easy to say that ashanti does not look like the igbos i see but i know that the igbo like west african tribes are very diverse, you do not know what the majority of fulanis look like

i saw your pictures and you do not resemble any of them either,it is not a matter of identiticalities but rather similar phenotypes and yes they have similar phenotypes
it will be very difficult to show you an african that looks identitical to keri hilson it is rather diffcicult also to find a african that looks identitical to t.d jakes for example but you will probably say that t.d jakes looks more african than keri hilson or ciara for example, maybe you can show me a african american that looks 100% identitical to keri hilson or any people you have mentioned?

Well she does look like some of them, not all. By the way, is google suppose to show you how all Fulani's look? When i type AA's in google, none of the girl that came up look anything like Keri. Well you want to believe you guys are mixed and look different oh well, go ahead believe that. Oh and by the way, none of the African women in google has makeup, nose job or photoshopped so of course they won't look exactly like her but keri reminds me of a mixed of Hausa and Fulani.
I've given you myshare of what the people you provided rminds me of
Keri looks fulani/hausa
letoya looks ghanaian/yoruba
Ciara looks yoruba/igbo
Ashanti looks igbo to me
Vanessa isn't lighter that modupe and modupe is west african and light as hell. A mixture of tribes but not race for modupe. So idk.
Anyway that's my believe
Looks varies in the eyes of the beholder
You think you guys do not resemble west african tribes. West Africans see the resemblance. There was a nigerian forum where someone asked the same question you did and told people to point out what tribe, AA celebs reminds them off, it was easy for the people in the forum.

I already did ... Ashanti dosen't look like a black Mexican ... LOL , whatever that is , if she does , at least half of the West African population is Mexican ... Keri looks like a Fulani or Toubou , Arab really , due to her features ... LOL , you obviousely don't know nothing about African diversity or atleast elongated , narrow featured Africans , Letoya looks West African , post a picture before all that plastic surgery ... Ciara , LOL , I don't see the Native American in her , African , yes , she looks Igbo .
Don't think Ciara looks igbo, hmm. Ashanti does but Ciara, hmm. I've always taught she looked a mixture of igbo and yoruba. Well i can't say really, i've seen igbo women that i wouldn't even address as igbo unless they told me. So who knows. Maybe. I think you're right though. Still resemble like Omotola to me.

They just look like regular black folks to me. I have always and always will think that African American women are the most beautiful on the face of the earth. Yall other brothers can get on here and think yall keeping it real, but AA women set the bar too high for women of any background to be able to compete.

Most African Americans came from those countries between Ghana and Senegal. It is in Central and South America where a larger number of Black people descend from Angola which was a Portuguese colony like Brazil.
But there is strong Nigerian presence in Brazil also, some did come from the Congo into South America infact to the date Congo has a strip of land leading from Central Africa to the West African coastline set up by the Belgiuns.
Sometimes I can see Ibo in African Americans, Yoruba, Mandinka, Woloff.
But most of us are so mixed it's hard to say, maybe that's a good thing to not know so we aren't set up for the same mistakes that our forefathers made.
We don't know our origins Portugal is an Arabic word (bortugal) meaning orange. The Muslims who ruled that territory until the 15th century called it that because of how the oranges grew there so you might have Arab ancestry as well, many of them came from as far away as Syria.
thanks, nice to know

Come on Princess, let's keep it honest. If both her parents are mixed, then she could just as easily be called mixed.
I've been to America before in cities such as Detroit, D.C. and NYC which are highly AA populated. I don't remember any AAs that I saw looking like Vanessa Williams. Even among the many black celebrities on T.V., very few resemble her.
You chose the child of two mixed parents for a reason, even though you know that the average AA doesn't look like her.
But let me phrase it like this, IF Sophie and another half white, half Nigerian man have a child, can I call that child a West African now ?
Because if that's the rule applying to AAs, that should apply to the Nigerians right ?
thats funny because i live in Detroit and have seen plenty of ppl who look of "mixed heritage" just as much as vanessa and have two blk parents....some in my fam at that
