Why do african-american women do not date chinese or japanese men?

I´ve been around in New York etc., the only couples I´ve never saw were african-american/ black women with chinese or japanese men. Why not? Is it true that asian men and vice versa black women don´t feel each other attractive?

I watched in 2005 a show where black women dated only whites, latinos or blacks but refused even thinking about chinese men etc. Is this behaviour not called reverse racism?

Trust me, that's not true. There are some of us AA women who'll date an Asian guy in a heartbeat. I have dated a N. Korean guy before and the other guy was Cambodian and Chinese mixed. Actually, AA women will usually date and marry ONLY AA men or latino men, but the last on the list would be a Caucasian guys, so I have heard from many of them of course. Me, I am not really attracted to my own race of men, but no matter what I say about not dating my own....I'm sure I will. The last on my personal list would be latinos. I don't ever plan to marry one of those, not to say something's wrong with them, but not my cup of tea. My boyfriend is German by the way. Are you a native of Germany or just residing there because of the military?

Pure germanic, maybe I would be the whitey of all whites in your country. It´s funny, I haven´t see one asian-african-american couple. I can´t understand this type of white/black non-sense. We europeans don´t think white americans are europeans and from my little experience africans don´t see african-americans as blacks or brothers. So just go over it, this kind of freaky ethnic thinking goes bad at time, look at my country´s history. Only your enemies benefit from your weakness: Untill today african-americans seen as a gruop haven´t made the american dreams in comparison with white or non-white immigrants.

Did you take my posting to offense or something Chris? It seemed like you did when I just read yours. Well you haven't been to LA before lol because there are plenty of bi-racial (Asian and AA) people running around that place in the southeast part. You're right though....there's not many AA women/Asian men couples in this country or period, but that's actually not a problem if you ask me.

Most of the comments that I have heard from my AA girlfriends and family is they just simply dont find them attractive, However I just think it is more to the fact that the ones they have personally encountered are not attractive to them! I used to think that asians were not cute til I was exposed to a few hotties that were Thai, my best friend and her people are Thai so I have met some really hot ones but they stick very closely within their communities, most of them are very friendly and not racist at all and if given a chance they would date a sistah in a heart beat!
I went out with one in my single days and he was cool and cute! but timeing is everything!
I think it all depends on what part of the country people live in!

well i'm here to burst this thread's bubble I believe b/c my father is Chinese and my mother is African American...and um...Chris I don't know where you have been looking in NY but Asian and African American couples are EVERYWHERE in NY maybe not so much in the south but alot in the north...but how about why it is such a problem relates to cultural differences and how this present American society degrades and lowers the African Americans so therefore mixing up with a AA would be a BIG NO NO or rebeling in alot of cultural families

Honestly, you may have a point there. Not many AA women and Asian guys find each other attractive. Most AA women are attracted to their own men or latinos, especially Puerto Ricans. There is a very small percentage of AA women around the world who'll actually marry outside of her race to be honest. North America is one big play pin and full of various different cultures so we all get to pick and choose I guess lol. I've dated just about EVERY race, including Arab and Israeli (Jewish). There are a few attractive Asian guys, but they are LEAST attractive of all men in my opinion.

I'm just afraid of super large dogs like the one on your screen there. They seem vicious and like they're always hungry or something. I don't mean to get all into your business Ruger, but since you work in ATL,....how are the jobs there? I know here in Denver...you get paid pretty well, actually pretty dorn good I must say. I work part time and make more than a person who's working full time and doing labor work. I work from home now, instead of going in to the office. I called these apartment homes called Laurel Hills Preserve (stupid name, I know) and I think it's in the ATL area or probably in Savannah to be exact. I was looking to live more in Savannah exactly, not in a major city. I hate wild traffic, overpopulated areas, pollution, crime stats sky-high lol, etc.-etc. I think you get my drift. I plan to visit down there some time after March. My job's sending me to FL to get out of their hairs for a while lol. I've been there four times before anyway, but I love Miami! Most likely I'll go to GA for a few days probably some time around my birthday. Yaaaaay!!! LOL. Please don't put Apollo and Annapolis up there ha ha ha ha.

AWWWW, you got 2 more pups, Ruger? What kind? If you have a digital camera it should have come with a cable where you can connect the cam to your pc, or you may have a slot for an SD card on your computer. I have one on my laptop thats why I have all the pics of my dog that I switch up.

I've had flirtations with many Asian men before. I never saw a issue with it.

Asian men/Black women couples are out there. You just haven't seem them...lol. I've dated Thai and Korean. I have not come into contact with very many Chinese or Japanese men. However, my door is open to any man that I make a connection with. Nationality really is on a boundary you make yourself.

There are a lot of Asian doctors where I work and I think they are sexy as hell. There is this one who I think is the most well rounded because he is sexy enough to be a model and he has a sparkling personality. If I wasn't married to a full bloody German Chris I'd hit on these doctors...lol.

Here in New York there are AA women with Asian men. They just aren't very prevalent, and they tend to be 25 and under. But I think there are stereotypes surrounding Asian men and AA women which keep them apart. I've dated a few Asian men and they are like any other man, except for their closer family ties (in comparison to the average American man).
Be prepared for dagger eyes from a few Asian women, black men and older folks.

My brother had this dog name Rex, part German Shepard and part pit bull (bad mix), and he'd attack me everytime I came home from school or in the house. It was cute, but he'd always knock me down. Well I like more secluded areas to live so Savannah sounds like the spot for me lol. My speciality? Well I'm open minded when it comes to recreation, but I don't do extreme sports. I get enough of that up here in Mile High city. I'm more of a laid back person now so I doubt if I'll be going to any clubs often. I've grown out of that scene ever since leaving Louisiana. Well I love good festivals, great food, and nice people so GA sounds like the place for me. Besides....I miss the south.
