Are italians really white?

Do you think all the mediterneal are black or white. If Italians are suspicious to be black or white thus all the mediterneal side of Europea is suspicious too.

Why do we argue this i don't understand we have eyes to see the skin colour of Italians.

What a ridiculous thread. If you feel that Italians aren't white, you MUST feel that Scandinavian people aren't white either. You could see the obvious Asian admixture in Swedes, Norwegians and Finns. They have light hair and eyes but their features are typically Euroasian. Slanted eyes, round faces, flat noses and many have profound cheekbones. Given their history with all the invasions and the fact that Finland has the highest Asian DNA of any other European country, I would honestly say, according to the one-drop theory, they are not white.

And what is said about Italians being black simply isn't accurate. Arabs conquered sicily (only Sicily) about 1000 years ago and ruled sicily for less than one and half centuries, with a very small immigration from africa. Then Sicily was conquered by Vikings and Germans and about all Arabs (North Africans) that remained in Southern Italy were killed. In fact Southern Italians are not of Arab or African heritage, exept for a very small percentage. America and England has more whites with African admixture than Italy has from 1,000 years ago!

it all comes down do to the fact that there of the mediteranian decent have the same features if you say italians are not white that means people from spain greece and north africa are not white either. but on the same token you can not say north africans are not white and italians are it makes no sense

I am of Italian & Albanian descent and they are both Mediterranean countries. I have dark brown curly hair, brown eyes, and I tan in the summer!I think Im white..lol

Italians are often confused about this. I myself am half Italian and people have asked if im Peurtorican, Brazilian, mixed w/ black, alot of diffrent things. When I was little I knew for sure in my mind that I was white but as I grew older people noticed the diffrence and so did I and he made me wonder about myself. I had darker and more arm hair than my other white friends, my skin had a diffrent tint, Ive even had black people tell me Im not as "white" as other whites. Im as curvaceous as most black woman. I have thick dark hair, dark brown eyes and big lips. Recently two white boys told me compared to my friend who has red thin hair and green eyes that shes "more" whiter than me. I noticed most white men prefer the whiter looking woman like my whiter looking friends over me and black and hispanic men prefer me over them. IDK its really strange. Cause when I was little I never noticed these things. I consider myself white because thats what the gov considers me as. To me everyone came from Africa, so that includes whites.It makes since that Italians being more close to Africa would have darker skin and darker hair than other European races. Another qeustion how can you consider Latinos a diffrent race from southern Europeans when Lations descend from Italians, Purtuguese amd French. Don't believe me look it up. Think about it all cultures speak the same language basically, "the romance language" and Spanish people look similiar.

You are half italian you said...but what is the other half?
I know lot of portoricans and mulattos,who have an italian white grandfather and the rest of relatives blacks who say they are italians!

My boyfriend is italian and he is very white,blonde blue eyed.Nobody would ever dare to call him non-white.
I have been in Italy as well,and even if there are some who have dark features(not black features),i have never mistaken them for africans or northafricans.Com pletely different skulls, cheeckbones,posture,the most i can compare a dark italian with are the dark welsh or irish,like Sean Connery for example.
Anyway i think this forum is ruled by blacks who pretend sometimes to be fake anglosaxons in order to boost their afrocentrist view over southern europeans.
Spanish,Greeks,Italians are all white and the olive skinned people are few compared to the fair skinned.
Anyway olive skin is not due to blacks either,maybe it is from near est.
