I thought she was really pretty when she was with Destiny's Child. I liked that group a lot when I was a kid and still have one of their CDs from back then. I liked Britney Spears and many of those late 90s- early to mid 2000s stars. Actually- I personally never cared for Beyonce's voice that much and thought Kelly Roland had the most talent there. I noticed that more after the group split up and they were recording as solo artists. If you look at Destiny's Child- and Britney Spears for example- they started out as fairly "wholesome" with just their natural appeal as attractive females. I would say the same for some later stars like Miley Cyrus. I mean they would have their cute and sexy outfits- but it was basically just normal young woman outfits. But then it just became all about the slut look. I kind of see the same beginning with Taylor Swift.<quoted text>
They are so desperate to make Beyonce, the world's most beautiful woman, ugly because she is black.
You used to have women like Madonna- and Cher to an extent- who played up the more "slutty" angle- but in their time there was more variety of types of entertainers to see and how they projected their image. More and more there is just negativity in main stream music and women are more and more just shown in slutty ways. It's just becoming the norm and what you expect to see/hear.
In main stream music it is more about getting someone to project a very narrow new image than it is about their voice or the substance of music.
