In America this, in America that, since when did the whole world was considered America? Well, the correct term would be US because not all countries in this continent think the same way as the US. I'm not going to argue with you anymore, you are the one having an identity crisis here, I know my background and I embrace everything about it, unlike you. I'm hispanic, I'm latin and I'm very much proud of being puerto rican, my ethnicity and culture identifies me, but you couldn't understand that, you are basically cultureless. Stop worrying about people that don't relate to you, cultures that you never experienced, islands that you have never visited. You just act childish, there is no sense of arguing with a childish person, you are just a waste of time. People like you are basically hopeless.
"Well, the correct term would be US because not all countries in this continent think the same way as the US."

I realize that. I'm just saying what puerto ricans in america with african blood are considered racially black. I had no idea that this would turn into a three-thousand comment argument over who is more white/mixed/who is technically hispanic or who is technically black. Obviously i have a point and this is a VERY sensitive issue for you latinos of african descent.

"I'm hispanic, I'm latin and I'm very much proud of being puerto rican, my ethnicity and culture identifies me, but you couldn't understand that, you are basically cultureless."

Good for you, but I'm an American with American culture and proud of it!

"Stop worrying about people that don't relate to you, cultures that you never experienced, islands that you have never visited."

I was using you Ricans as an example of a people who are blatinos who don't want to be black racially in america when you will be identified as such based on American cultural history. Your viewpoint of race is technical (and even that wavers), and mine is sociological because race is a social construct, not a technical one. This is your problem, not mine. It's nothing personal.

"You just act childish, there is no sense of arguing with a childish person, you are just a waste of time. People like you are basically hopeless."

boohoo whoa is me.

B.S, you're lying. Dominicans and perto ricans are not considered black in america, only by loony AAs like yourself, not anyone else. police/law enforcement NEVER call pr and Dominicans black and you know it. Let's take a look at a police news report

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his 20s, about 5'9"-5'10" and 160 pounds with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and black jeans.

http://gothamist.com/2013/04/22/another_brook...

If they were seen as black in america then why didn't police say we're searching for a "black" male?? LMAO!..this here tells you hispanics, Puerto ricans and dominicans are NOT seen as black, you LIAR.

She's lying. U.S. do not consider hispanics with African ancestry as black. Police never describe ricans and dominicans as black and never use black as their description when they looking for them.

I'm from NY too and i'm use to seeing them everyday so you can't tell me. Puerto Ricans,- they look more white than anything. Alot of Boricuas have brown, red, and sometimes blonde hair..green,gray, and sometimes blue eyes- those are not Taino Indian features. among the Hispanics who have the most native blood are Mexicans, and most of them look it- Asian eyes, brown skin, straight dark, to jet black hair.

Dominicans do have Taino blood. Alot have the eyes, Most Dominicans have black, or jet black straight or wavy hair,-i showed you many examples already...they didn't get that(the texture)from Africans, nor whites.

Most Dominicans have good straight black hair. And please explain to me what is "bad hair?" Are you referring to black people's hair? There is nothing bad about it. Even some of your felolow Hispanics know black men are the Gods. Artist, Reynaldo Hernandez

Puerto Ricans in the U.S., Americanized ones who weren't born in Puerto Rico would be honored blacks saying they are black lol. They want to be black so bad. I can't stand the ones like that I've met.

Puerto Ricans though are mostly lighter mestizos, lighter than Mexico, and you have people that aren't really mestizos at all and pretty much just white. I know there are black people in those places too though. Dominicans, as far as I know mostly are black people. But saying Puerto Ricans are black because of a "one drop rule" is like saying I am because there was a black woman in my family 200 years ago.

The first major slave revolt took place in Dominican Republic's hills in 1522. These Maroons were originally from the senegambian region of Africa; of which most were Muslims of the Wolof nation. Many centuries later the Maroon populations became so large that the only way whites could travel would be in large armed groups. Most of the Maroon populations established themselves in mostly in rivers, hills/mountains, coastal and in caves. The Congolese people were known to be very aggressive and naturally strong, they and many of the Mandingas, Wolofs, and Fulanis were the main ethnicities to have been born in Maroon villages.

Akan, Yoruba, Igbo, Ewe, Fon, Mandinga, Wolof-Fulanis and Others. The Congolese-Bakongo tribes has had the most dominant culteral impact in the Dominican Republic today.
Known survived religions are the Regla de palo, Arara, Dominican Vudu, Dominican Santeria etc. Many villages among the Dominican Republic have kept their African languages among their descendants. Recongnized African languages spoken by Dominicans are the Lucumi language which is practically the Yoruba language with very few Spanish words, the Kikongo language is still spoken, especially in places like Villa Mella, Dajabon, Altagracia, and Monte Plata.

Well you proving my point, you dummy. You said they have "native mixture" Most mulatto black/white without other mixture usually have African hair. Examples would be well known biracials like Obama, Bob marely, Lenny kravitz. Some times mulattoes have loose curls and a few times straight, but 9 times out of ten Most black and white mixed people don't have hair like Indians, east, or native..the texture is way different. Most black/white mixed hair come out like this
