If we were to have a Black Royal family who would you start it with?

Would it be something you would respect or support?

My thoughts would be that a family of blacks that were schooled in the arts and trained in military but also well versed on the African diaspora.

Looks would be very important and they would have to be distinguishable from the typical Caucasoid beauty.

They would have to be dark to brown skinned. The men would have to be strong tall and the women would have to be the most undeniably beauties in
the world.

The women should be well trained in the spiritual and all that is musical.

The men well versed in politics, agriculture and technology.

Ignoring trolls.

I'd like to hear what people think. Who might you pick as the Adam and Eve of the first royal family?

Maya Angelou would be royal blood by default.
Cornel West would also be.

But they would be like God Parents.

Cornell West is light skinned, I thought they had to be dark. I being a light skinned black woman take notice when people say things like that because to me it is the flip side of the whole white and black thing. I don't think it would make one bit of difference when colorism would still exist.

Division is the enemy when will we learn that?

If I cant be it then I would choose either Denzel and his family or Holly Robinson Peete and her family. Definitely no ugly Maya Angelou or Corny West.

Well it's not exactly that cut and dry with this particular situation.

The reason for the image of this Adam and Eve being Brown or Dark is because of the symbolism behind it.

Not to divide the race by color but to set an opposing standard of beauty that exemplifies the black man and women as they look outside of the European perspective of beauty.

It makes me feel bad that it would hurt you by promoting this. But I feel this is needed to counter the push that being closer to looking white is the goal. I don't know how to say it with out alienating my light skinned brothers and sisters but I'd like to see a premium placed on our uniqueness.

What would be your suggest aside from my insensitive bubbling?

I didn't judge your comment with those negative comments.

And I hold Cornel West high above many black thinkers. I do believe all complexions would have to be involved in the royal family tree in some way. Like Dukes and Such. But I would try to protect the family from attempting to appear to want to be suffering from insecurity about their dark skin. Since dark skin is what the world mainly identifies us by.

They would be God Parents. Nothing more. They would be almost like advisers imparting their wisdom on the family so that the offspring grow into wise people.

I thought of Denzel as well.

I really don't know how some people would not feel slighted, especially because of our diversity.
I have seen many African people in Africa with so called European features and not mixed. The Maasai have small straight noses in many cases. People that think that European standard of beauty is the way are lying to themselves. I know you have seen the members of the British royal family and they are a hideous bunch to put it mildly. OUr beauty is our diversity, from the lightest light to the darkest black. Our strong bodies, the femininity of our women and the masculinity of our men.

Besides does that standard even hold true anymore? The only white women considered attractive anymore have pay for lips, butts, hips and so on. They will never admit it but it's true.

I didn't think you did, you seem to be straight forward and an adult. I have an idea who did it and it has never mattered and still doesn't. I agree with you about Cornell West and if w did have a royal family it should represent all of us. Just like our familys, there is light and dark among all of us.

My apologies Ms. for being so ignorant.

And I see your point. I just want to protect the race from viewing themselves through whites eyes all the time. And you are correct about how hideous they look. Hmmm...

What would you suggest as a good couple no matter what the complexion?

Shhh... they might think we trying to take over lol Joking.

Nahh man. We need to do something like that in Africa. The first African National Guard, Airforce, Elite Taskforce, Nuclear weapons or Intelligence Agency.

As a race I'd feel so much better if we did have a military though.
