Why biracial people are called black?

They should be called half, 1/3, 1/4 etc black, since calling a mixed person black is an insult to that person's superiour white genes( even though those white genes are mixed with black genes, the result is better than 100 % black)

However, i do think you embrace your white side more than your black. But that's just fine because i'm sick of mixed people wanting to be recognized for black just because young white America thinks it's cool to be black.

You obviously are a racist. But since you asked...Your white ancestors came up with the one drop rule. One drop of black blood makes you black. During slavery you would have been a slave.

My children are biracial and I have always encouraged them to view themselves as exactly that. Many people refer to them as "mixed". I think that term is often used in a derogatory manner.

And, as far as everyone being "mixed"...we are!

I am 53 years old and when I came up if you were a mixed person you were called black. Look at my title I am called light skinned black now why do you think that is? I have white blood running though my vains, but when I was young I had better not try to say I white. But trixy you live in a time and age when some whites will except you notice I said some not all. So if you want to be like your mother it may be possible for you to pass and be excepted by your other half my dear.

Scientists say that there is no scientific basis for saying that any races exist,none. Race is more a social separation of people based upong specific physical features,and grouping you into a group based on what geographical region of the world you ancestors migrated from,and it is above all a social grouping of people together and seeing the fellow individuals in that group as being of the same "kind" or same "race", a social grouping. My parents are from Kenya never been but i am glad they aren't from America so that i don't have to deal with this you have white blood in you crap. I will never understand how a person has a parent that is not black but still is considered black. But what is also confusing is most blacks on here say i am black because 300 yrs ago i would have been considered black thats true. But 300 yrs ago it would have been illegal for that same person to marry or date inter racially but i bet they aren't going to stop doing that.

listen to yourself (superior) a mixed person that is mixed with black is considered black because that gene is dominant any white person will tell you that and you cant say that they are imediately called black because in this common situation one side singles a mix person as black and the other as white. mix people sometimes have a hard time of being excepted by both races because they determine what you are for them selves. i can tell that being called black angers you. well i hope you get over yourself because who ever made you was not worried about wether you will understand, clearly you dont. when you fill out an aplication many mixed people know to fill out other or multicultural for filling out white does not mean that your wrong. you stated that one shoud be judged half and half yet filled out white knowing that you are not 100% so i guess you were wrong and you would be just as wrong if you only filled out black also
