I have always been fascinated with the different black looking peoples around the world. The Australian Aborigines, Papuan, Aeta, Andamese, Veddah(disputed), Ainu(possibly related to australian aborigines). So I am wondering if they are indeed black. I have heard they are genetically asian. But they sure as hel look black to me.

It is so funny that you should mention that...I am also fascinated with the Black peoples of the world...

It is confusing because here in the U.S. we are taught incorrectly in the first place. We are taught that Black people here in America are "African-American", when really our origins go further than that.

We are original people, just as the Australian Aborigines are original.

So, I guess the next question is, what is "Black", from the perspective of Americans? Well, if they mean "of African descent", then the answer to your original question would be "No".

But like I said, the assumption that even the Black Africans that live in Africa now were always there is not necessarily correct.

ScienceDaily (May 10, 2007)— Researchers have produced new DNA evidence that almost certainly confirms the theory that all modern humans have a common ancestry. The genetic survey, produced by a collaborative team led by scholars at Cambridge and Anglia Ruskin Universities, shows that Australia's aboriginal population sprang from the same tiny group of colonists, along with their New Guinean neighbours.

The research confirms the “Out Of Africa” hypothesis that all modern humans stem from a single group of Homo sapiens who emigrated from Africa 2,000 generations ago and spread throughout Eurasia over thousands of years. These settlers replaced other early humans (such as Neanderthals), rather than interbreeding with them.
Academics analysed the mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) and Y chromosome DNA of Aboriginal Australians and Melanesians from New Guinea. This data was compared with the various DNA patterns associated with early humans. The research was an international effort, with researchers from Tartu in Estonia, Oxford, and Stanford in California all contributing key data and expertise.
The results showed that both the Aborigines and Melanesians share the genetic features that have been linked to the exodus of modern humans from Africa 50,000 years ago.
Until now, one of the main reasons for doubting the “Out Of Africa” theory was the existence of inconsistent evidence in Australia. The skeletal and tool remains that have been found there are strikingly different from those elsewhere on the “coastal expressway”– the route through South Asia taken by the early settlers.
Some scholars argue that these discrepancies exist either because the early colonists interbred with the local Homo erectus population, or because there was a subsequent, secondary migration from Africa. Both explanations would undermine the theory of a single, common origin for modern-day humans.
But in the latest research there was no evidence of a genetic inheritance from Homo erectus, indicating that the settlers did not mix and that these people therefore share the same direct ancestry as the other Eurasian peoples.
Geneticist Dr Peter Forster, who led the research, said:“Although it has been speculated that the populations of Australia and New Guinea came from the same ancestors, the fossil record differs so significantly it has been difficult to prove. For the first time, this evidence gives us a genetic link showing that the Australian Aboriginal and New Guinean populations are descended directly from the same specific group of people who emerged from the African migration.”
At the time of the migration, 50,000 years ago, Australia and New Guinea were joined by a land bridge and the region was also only separated from the main Eurasian land mass by narrow straits such as Wallace's Line in Indonesia. The land bridge was submerged about 8,000 years ago.
The new study also explains why the fossil and archaeological record in Australia is so different to that found elsewhere even though the genetic record shows no evidence of interbreeding with Homo erectus, and indicates a single Palaeolithic colonisation event.
The DNA patterns of the Australian and Melanesian populations show that the population evolved in relative isolation. The two groups also share certain genetic characteristics that are not found beyond Melanesia. This would suggest that there was very little gene flow into Australia after the original migration.
Dr Toomas Kivisild, from the Cambridge University Department of Biological Anthropology, who co-authored the report, said:“The evidence points to relative isolation after the initial arrival, which would mean any significant developments in skeletal form and tool use were not influenced by outside sources.
“There was probably a minor secondary gene flow into Australia while the land bridge from New Guinea was still open, but once it was submerged the population was apparently isolated for thousands of years. The differences in the archaeological record are probably the result of this, rather than any secondary migration or interbreeding.”
The study is reported in the new issue of Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.

IDK, but their history is timeless. I keep wondering if anyone knows of the "spirit" time they speak of. They embody the characteristics of all races. Blue eyes, slanted eyes, poker straight black hair, blond hair, kinky hair, broad nose, slim nose, big lips, small lips. A virtual evoluation of every race on the planet today. They're a wonder in the world today and perhaps, the oldest race on the planet.

Here we go. Okay we are supposed to believe that someone as dark as Vinnie Pastore is white:

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0665114/

But God forbid, anyone should have hair and skin like an african, but have different facial features....They are not black. You people are so delusional and gullible to white supremacy that it isn't even funny.

Vinnie is not an aborigine. Have you meet any?
Another point when you say black are you talking colour or race?
I stand by what I said I met many travelling Australia especially in Cairns and Darwin and they are black in COLOUR but look more indian to me and that's my opinion. The men do call themselves Black fellas but again that is more to do with colour.
You can get very dark skinned asians and indians. Some are almost black in colour but they are not black.

Divide and conquer. It's been their motive of operations since slavery. They're the miniority, we're not. So when did they get the right to judge and classify? People of COLOR should stand up and stop this mess, cause the color classifications start with WHITE AT THE TOP and soup people of different skin tones, shade, features into their ideas of race, not ours and most definitely not our creator!

Lucy: Black people can have pointy noses and straight hair, we are just as diverse as other races. Many East Indians are in fact black people as are aborigines and the native peoples of the philipines, etc.

And what is you're definition of BLACK? And what gives you the right to decide? Black is black and white is white, right? Do you realize how silly and racist you sound? I have seen an Aborigine up close and personal and truthfully, he frightened me at first, because his appearance was so different from what I had ever seen in my life, but one thing is for sure, he was dark and his hair was kinky. I really couldn't identify him with any "racial" group I had ever seen, but, he definitely WASN'T WHITE? It's important to you and your kind to classify people and demean blacks across the world, but know this, we're everywhere, in every race (probably yours too) and we were here first, so, get used to being challenged and get used to the racial classifications your race has decided upon being challenged! We've always know that you people were trying to control and hide things from the people of color on this planet, even the book you've created to control this (the bible) speaks of this: "The son's of Cush will rise up" 13% of the world's population will no longer control this planet, accept it, get used to it and please understand that we no longer accept your history, racial classifications or any thing else that comes out of your lying, hypocritcal mouths.

They make me so sick with their BS. Taking their pale asses across the world, deciding who is black and who is not. You want to solve the dilemna? See if she wants her daughter or son to marry this non-black? LOL! Their true color, or colors, will readily show, LOL!

The funnest thing is how they try to say East Africans are not black when you talk to any Ethiopian, Somalian or other east african they will tell you "I'm not mixed with anything, I'm just black" and say they as Ethiopians or other african have no indian or arab connections-this is contrary to what whites try to tell us.

Divide and conqor. That's what they do. Make one tribe think they're better than the other. They used it in South Africa to control millions when they were the miniority. The sad thing is the majority of South Aficans fell for it. Make no mistake, this is a dangerous race of people who have ushered in End time destruction for all people on the planet if they cannot continue to rule. Share? That's a joke. They will bring about the end times, believe this... When the smoke clears, we'll live in peace
