This is one of the things that alot of people didn't know. Is a good song and am happy to find out the story behind it. Am Brown Mexican and yes there is African roots in Mexico. The home of the Black Mexicans are at this following cities Acapulco,Veracruz,Oaxaca,and Monterrey.

mexico is very,vrry important to AA culture. The mascogos,jack johnson, zapata,morelos and vicente guerrero mex1st prez.

That is correct and yes Guerrero is the first Black president. Vivente Guerrero also help Mexico fight for independence.

jack johnson praised mexico for its treatment of blacjs and encouraged bkacks to move there. The rift btwn AA and Mexicans hs been maufsctured. Oh yeah what about Kalimba the singer afromexican.
