Why are blck males afraid to wear sandals?
Why do they choose to wear big clunky tenni shoes even when it's 98 degrees out?

Some see it as feminine, there are some nice sandals you can rock...but i mean the ones you can dress up w/ some linen pants or somethin. Wont catch me in some birkenstock jerusalem cruisers though playa...

I like the Nike and Adidas sport sandals for a quick morning errand run.

But you won't catch me wearing those west-indian leather sandals.

You know, I don't really care for men in sandals. I think they should leave sandals to the women but to each its own ofcourse.

The casual sandals that you wear with slacks is kool, but those sandals you put inbetween your toes are feminine thats why most black men dont wear them.

From Esquire Magazine's rules of style for men:

"You lose 61 percent of your respect for a man when you can see his toes through his shoes."

Not saying I agree, but I've never forgotten it.

The closest I come are my Teva Sandals, which are so close to shoes they can barely be called sandals.

Oh, and any man wearing those plastic Duck shoes or whatever they're called should be shot on sight.

LOL you all are funny but this explains a lot...

I bought my husband some nice sandals from Nordstrom and he never wore them. I ended up giving them to Goodwill.

Hey! I like the Duck shoes...

It is to gay for them especially those jesus sandals. Those sandals don't even support their huge feet. They are made to fit a narrow white mans foot.

Good question! I know some men's feet are so heinous that they should never be seen in sandals, but I suspect with black men it has something to do with masculinity. The non-thuggish or metrosexual man will SOMETIMES rock a pair of leather sandals.

I just have to say that a chocolate man with a white cotton shirt on with white linen pants and a pair of sandals is truly a sight to behold!

Those Duck shoes/clogs are fine for women and little kids. But men should NEVER wear them.

Actually, this is a small part of the reason. I smashed the big toe on my right food when I was about 15 and the nail has never been right since. A very hideous color.... Yeech...

You would be surprised what semi-regular pedicures at a meticulously clean spa will do for your nails. I say spend this summer getting a pedicure every two weeks and see if there is some improvement. You might be wearing sandals by next summer! You don't want to be the guy at the beach wearing Timberlands, do you? Besides, people don't look at a man's feet the same way they look at a woman's.

You can tell a lot about a guy, buy how he keeps his feet...If his feet are chappy, dirty and unkept, don't go near him...
