I just want to know. Do you guys really care whether a woman has kids or not? Do you care how MANY kids she has? Do you take her seriously? Just wondering what your thoughts on this are.

i would not take a women with kids. for some reasons:

1. i want to bring up my own kids, not the kids of another man.

2. because of the children, the ex-man of the women is a part of your womens life, constantly. there will always be a man around, who gave your women the time in the past. not a good feeling.

3. maybe the children dont accept you. this can lead to a lot of trouble. maybe they will only listen to her mother or father. but how shall i take care of kids, if they dont follow my assingments when her mother is not around?

4. you have no law-given rights, if you are not the father. think about it: you are in a relationship with a women for many years. soon or later you will love the children like your own. some years later the relationship with your women ends. if the women wants to hurt your feelings cos she is hurt by dropping her, she can ban you from seeing the kids, cos they are not yours and you have no father-rights.

when im 50 years old and i get to know a women with grown-up children, this would not be a problem. but no women with little kids, please.

Depends on how many kids, what's going on with the kids father? How old are the children?

If a woman has five kids by five men, she is not for me.

In a perfect world who would want to date a person with kids? Especially if the other 1/2 is still alive, as well as still in the picture in care of and contact of their children.

This is not a perfect world. Why marginalized people who still want to date but are ostracized because he/she happens to be a parent?

As Razor points out, if a woman has 5 kids by multiple men...that's a person to steer clear of, unless of course one like nut cases.

Each case is different. If I was a single man, would I care to date a woman with child(ren), it depends. Is that child retarded? If so I can't hang. I am not a case worker.

LOL @ five kids with five men. How about 3 kids with one man? Dad in the picture but not a problem. No drama. Kids 7 to 11.
Was she married to this dude? If so why did they divorce?

Yeah, but in a perfect world people wouldn't get divorced, people wouldn't commit adultery, women wouldn't be left to take care of children on their own. That's just not the case.
Let me cut to the chase I can't make many absolutes only a few. If she had more than 2 kids, I don't see myself getting involved.

The rest depends on the type of parent she is. I did date a woman with one child and the father, her ex-husband was not involved. He was four and jealous and she was a HORRIBLE disciplinarian.

He would scream when it was time to go to bed and get back up and didn't know how to act in a restaurant and all she would do is threaten to spank him.

Sorry, but threatening to spank is not disciplining a child. Of course, I could not say much or take a hand after all it was not my child.

I ended the relationship. So in the end, it matters what kind of parent she is and if the father is involved and what the child is like.

Can't say I would NEVER do it again, but I would not dive in quickly. Caution is key.
