Actually I hope gas prices go higher. I have over 20k shares of oil/gas stocks most of which I purchased back in the 80s. Over $20k in reinvested dividends for 2012.
The 1000 free shares of Marathon Petroleum I aquired from the split just keep going and going.

Which is why I kept buying Apple stock years ago. Sold 1400 shares @$701/share last September.
It was easy to figure out that the home builder stocks would come back. I bought $8k shares of Hovnanian Enterprises,Inc when it was 99 cents/share.
