"reality is the state of things as they actually exist, rather than as they may appear or might be imagined.[1] In a wider definition, reality includes everything that is and has been, whether or not it is observable or comprehensible. A still more broad definition includes everything that has existed, exists, or will exist."
But do we all even agree on a reality??? Is reality physical or is it of the mind???????
What's the normal perception??? The one most widely embraced???
What is reality??
We only know what our 5 senses give us. Electrical impulses. That is what we deem as reality.

Reality is it can all be recreated by a machine eg computer thus what we call reality could easily be a computer simulation. In fact mathematical probability has it that we're very most likely living in a computer simulation.

Look into it and you'll know what I'm on.

Please elaborate on what makes it a dimension.
Are you saying that time = every single point in existence and that we live on either point at any given moment in existence??????
It is a measurement.

1D = Length
2D = Length + Width
3D = Length + Width + Height
4D = Length + Width + Height + Time

All measurements. Dimensions.

For two identical events to occur in the same space (3 dimensional) you need a higher dimension in order to measure it. We call that dimension ''time''.

I agree to an extent..
But why is the illusion an illusion if the sequence of events is real..
Because all we really have is the present and the present is ever changing. Time is an illusion we created to try and measure the rate of change of the present. It's always NOW. But it's an ever changing now. In an effort to cope with the change, we have invented time. It's a handy mental device to help us deal with the higher order of derivatives of the rate of change. This change that we experience in the ever present PRESENT does have a direction. Things change in the general direction of having greater entropy. That's why when we measure time we find it restricted to one direction, unlike when we measure distance.

I like this guy. Very interesting perspective..

But...

What about us travels with time?? We exist in one moment only right? So am I myself that I was in a different moment???

I'm not.. because the body has aged.. the mind has aged... what caries over???? keeping the essence of you.. you??

Is it just the physical/chemical makeup that can only be made up from priors that causes us to feel the same... even though we're not actually the same????

Do we exist as a complete unit??? or countless units spread out simultaneously over different points in "time"?

Why are going from point to point.. what is going from point to point???? is it our soul or spirit traveling through our physical "bodies"??

But is a measurement an illusion????

For instance.. 1 Meter.

1 Meter doesn't actually exist.. as many things can be 1 Meter.. so is the dimension an illusion like the measurement of "1 Meter"?

A "Matrix" of sorts?

:)

Can we remove our self from that simulation? Or are we the similuation?? like the characters in our dreams...

Everything we perceive could easily be an illusion.

But there is a difference between meters and length. Length is a dimension while meters is a means of measuring this dimension like time is a dimension while minutes are a mean of measuring it on Earth.

Kinda like that, yeah.

As for the rest of your comment I don't know but what we deem reality is most likely a simulation.

Interesting thread, but as usual man has a very very limited understanding of things.

1. Time is not linear; but rather simultaneous.
All possible pasts, presents and futures exist at once.

2. Time is only the 5th dimension, infinity is the 9th and there are infinite dimensions above these that expand into infinity.

Watch the PBS series on dimensions.

Time has to exist in order for the universe to expand. If you stop Time, you stop everything. If the universe had no beginning, then it couldn't have a middle, or an end.
Ex. I just clapped 10 times. Each time I clapped it was the present, meaning that something shifted and made way for the next "present Clap". The way we measure this shift is called "Time".
Something can have an end with no begining or a begining with no end.

You can start a line at a point that goes on forever in one direction.

Also time only exists because of the conditions of our universe and has no absolute existence.

It should be noted that time and physical space are the same entity.
