Honey black women sport everything from an afro to dread lock. Where have you been? Also white people are not the only one group of people who tend to have straight hair.

I really do not think black women are all hung up on what black men are doing these days. They can date educated fleas for all I care.

Of course white women aren't the only ones with straight hair, however, how many white women do you know that will pay hundreds of dollars to get kinky hair weaved into their heads?

There are plenty of non-black women who wear weaves...and the hair is not even good quality hair. I've seen this on several occassions. I just want to walk up to them and stick a comb in that mess. Half the time the hair is not even the right color or texture....and besides unless you're with a total freak....Does hair really have a purpose other than sitting on top of your da** head?

And on top of that fact...We really don't care who black men are stickin...so don't get beside yourself....we ain't losing no sleep over that situation. For the record, white women perm their hair to make it curly like ours. Black women are diverse, we come in all shapes, shades and sizes. We don't envy white women on their best days, not with that thin head of hair that starts to bald when they age...And don't get me on aging..white women hit a wall at an early age. They look like someone balled their face up like a piece of paper and tried to straighten it back out at the age of 30.

I would rather have nappy hair where I can do different things to it than stringy hair where I can barely do shit to it but let it hang down. I'm sorry, but I like versatility. I'm glad that I have kinky hair. I can wear it straight, nappy, curly when it's wet, wavy when I put shea butter and water on there, braids, weaves, etc. There's versatility in our hair.

as a black male i agree with you 100%. Beneath those weaves, relaxers are tons of insecurity, low self esteem. thanks to brainwashing. so much for the strong black woman. Denial kicks in once you confront them.

straight hair is better!!! whether its curly, kinky, short, thin hair, its not seen as sexy and attractive. most outfits look good with long straight or wavy hair. my Chinese cousins are soooooooo lucky! i just like how Asians have naturally straight and long hair. my hair is long and silky, but CURLY!!! you can't do much with curly hair.
the good thing about kinky hair is that you can style it so many ways, but you still have to alter it to look presentable. you can't just wet and comb your hair without doing stuff to it. blacks are just as guilty as non blacks to respond negatively to nappy hair. i see how some black girls make fun of another black girl who skipped her monthly perm.

Exactly!!! That's why I don't see how we as black folks worry about non-black peoplw talk about our hair when blacks do it, but WORSER!!!! We are our worse enemy. And I said that kinky hair is more versatile. I will not put chemicals on it because it will slow down my fast hair growth. I know you think that full-blooded black women can't grow hair, but my hair does. I stop wearing a perm and start wearing weaves because I want to have hair when I get older, and that perm shit is going to burn the shit out of it. If I want it straight, I just use a straightening iron, or I wear a long straight or wavy weave. I know you are going to make fun of me about that, but that's my choice because to tell you the truth, not every black woman can wear dreadlocks. I don't like dreadlocks. Does that make me a self-hater? Of course not. Everybody has hair preferences, but to put down on black women's hair kinky hair texture is wrong. I like long hair, and my hair is semi-long (past my shouders). According to hair experts if your hair is past your shoulders, it's long. You may not believe, but my cousin owns her own shop in Philly, and she teaches hair classes.
