Hi Jesuspeace!! This is a cute thread, but I don't know what to write... lol.

Maybe we can just talk about life, or a little about ourselves?:)

I like "classic" things (Old Hollywood, Black and White movies, etc..) and I'm a girly girl. So the color pink and pearls (hence the name, someone here once said my name was perverted and I almost died because the intent was completely innocent! lol). I like relevant quotes about life by people who died centuries ago, weeping willow trees, and ... I value wisdom and intelligence - a lot, in myself and others.

Something weird about me?... um.. lol

I want to be old one day, like super old and wrinkly and I want to sit around and tell kids boring stories about when I was young that they'd never believe.:D

Wow what a great post. I like old Hollywood movies too, especially Alfred Hitchcock or Bette Davies! Rebecca was one of my most favorite movies starring Laurence Olivier and Joan Fontaine, great film if you've never seen it.

I also like foreign films, Maria full of Grace, Prague and I am so into this French TV series on the Sundance channel called The Returned! So fantastic!!! The thing is I tell friends about it but they don't want to watch because it's in French and has English subtitles. So stupid, you can miss out on a lot if that's your attitude, I don't get it.

I get what you're saying about being old and telling stories. Old people are the BEST people in the world, just the generosity of their times is the greatest gift and the wisdom and experience and stories are the best ever. I miss my grandmother's stories so much she was the cutest, funniest person I have even known.

I really wish older women would do that for our young women today because a lot are so lost and they don't even know it. If they aren't blessed enough to have a mother with grace and class that isn't too busy doing her own thing to teach them something, there was always an older woman that would do it.

Also that little girl in your avi is adorable!

Great thread! I am a business professional looking to do more entrepreneurial type projects. Also in my spare time I like to write and create. I am thinking about taking a few classes in the Spring semester. A writing class and one in jewelry making will be ideal. I want to apply early so that I can get in where I fit in. Last but certainly not least I am a mom, I have a great son he is a thinker and well behaved, never in trouble and I thank God I have one like that. Being a mom is rewarding and the most positive experience in my life, it bares on everything I do both professionally and personally.

Aloha

I've been natural since 2008. I started my transition by wearing braids until my processed hair grew out. Then I switched it up to weaves this year, just for some variation. Now I wear my hair curly by using perm rods to enhance my natural curl. There are tons of videos on youtube that should help you decided what technique is best for your type of hair.

Good luck.

Love is breaking out in the African Nation. You will notice that the white racists are acting desperate. Yesterday, North Somalia began to help natural disaster victims in southern Somalia. This is a first. But it shows that we have a natural love for our fellow Africans. We ought to be more conscious of it and reinforce and encourage it more.
