US ambassador warns against Afghanistan troop surge

The US ambassador to Afghanistan has dramatically intervened in the debate about troop reinforcements, warning President Obama against committing tens of thousands of extra troops to the country.

Well maybe the Pentagon planners should be looking at the cost of American lives, instead of dollar cost effectiveness. Spending money to train Afghans to take care of their own country is a lot more effective than spending the blood of our soldiers.

Hey, I say bring the troops home from both Iraq and Afghanistan.

Make it happen in the next six weeks, just in time for Christmas.

That would get obama re-elected.

But as it is, he won't.

This 'ambassador' is out of line, and should shut up or be replaced. It's not his place to comment on matters that are the Commander in Chief's business.
