In the very least perhaps you could allow the people to make a living. Years back the United Nations dropped 10 Million Dollars US to train women in Herat to raise silk worms for their dying silk industry.
The makers of this great silk, the finest in the entire world, are a "family business." Their ancestors probably dealt with Marco Polo and his dad Nicolo. Today they cannot sell any. So, after a few thousand years the seven families are out of business?
I have not been able to buy a bolt or even a swatch. Hamid? The looms are not even electric and they are apolitical too.
