Former Staff Sergeant Jamie Leishman has returned to his native North-East after completing the last overseas deployment of his Army career in Lashkar Gah, Afghanistan, the Task Force Helmand headquarters for British Forces.

Having worked for more than 25 years in Executive Search and Recruitment, this does not surprise me. My best candidates were people with army experience, they had real management skills no MBA or team building business seminars can teach you. They are also solid and reliable with a sincere notion of integrity and team spirit, as well as an ability to think on their feet and out of the box, something sadly lacking in the Excel disk jockey's our universities grind out...
