Skate park a fitting tribute for Long Beach teen

Three days before succumbing to bone cancer, Scott Reilly, 15, did what he loved most -- he picked up his skateboard and went for a ride.

What a beautiful tribute...Sure sounds like he was a fine young man...His family has alot to be proud of. May he RIP.

I wish they would build these skate parks all over Long Island. And that they would be easily accessible. I love to watch the young people skateboard in these parks. I also think it's a great way for our young people to let off steam, and therefore keep out of trouble, plus keep in shape and develope motor skills.

i am so proud with all the support from theese people i love scott so much and i no he would be proud.

These skateparks on long island all come out of playground catalogs. If I croak and they throw portable ramps on a tennis court in my name I'll be spinning in my grave. Trowel formed, skater-built concrete is a skatepark. The rest of this junk is nothing better than what astroturf mats are to golf.
