After Mark Webber announced his retirement last season, Red Bull chose to promote Ricciardo over Vergne, a decision paying dividends after the Australian's three victories this season.

Historics: Sir Jackie Stewart honored at Goodwood Revival
Sir Jackie Stewart, three-time Formula 1 racing World Champion, was honored at the Goodwood Revival on Saturday, September 13, for his achievements in, and contributions to, motor sport. The honor was bestowed in a public recognition on the racetrack by organizer and host of the Revival, Charles Gordon-Lennox, also known as Lord March, the Duke of Richmond.

F1: Record loss for Australian GP
The Victorian State Government has revealed it subsidised the 2014 Australian Grand Prix to the tune of 34.11m, the largest contribution in the event's nineteen year history. When combined with the 2013 Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix, the Victorian tax payer has contributed a total of 40.52m.
