Rick Spielman: It's all good with Vikings quarterbacks

Full story: St. Paul Pioneer Press

There was a lot of speculation that the Vikings were shopping quarterback Tarvaris Jackson before ultimately deciding to keep him on the 53-man roster Saturday.

Why in the world did we keep Karl Paymah and Benny Sapp over Marcus McCauley? Karl is going to get burnt more than Whole Wheat toast if he sees any time on the field.

Blah blah blah, just win something besides the worthless NFC North-if not get rid of Chilly, he is the reason for the pathetic play calling-it's now or never

Paymah is gonna be the 5th CB. Allen and Sapp will take the nickel and dime spots. Paymah was not cut for one and only one reason, and that is to play gunner on punts. Paymah is a very solid gunner and thats not something McCauley could bring to the table. Neither one was going to see much time on D, so who do you want, someone that can contribute on ST or someone to spectate? There is more to being a complete FB team than just who plays their assigned position better. Most of us complained about ST last year and that was the main focal point of improving this year. I think they've done a fantastic job. This is the most solid all-around Vikings team that I've seen in my 22 yrs of being a fan.

I am glad the Vikings kept TJ smart move coach I would have gotting rid of Sage kept Booty, him and TJ are young give them time and they both will shine Bret is not the answer to our team I've been a Viking fan since 1968 you see what my favorite QB F Tark said about Bret, as for me I feel TJ is going to bring it home for Vikes all you TJ haters find another team he is a GOOD QB. Ya, Sage did not impress this pre-season. I was expecting a lot more from the guy. I did not like the pick 6 he had against the Cowgirls. Not good!

Booty cleared waivers and made it to our practice squad. Jackson seems to be thriving as a backup. One story today said the Vikings made a big gamble on Favre. In reality, it's no gamble at all. He either pays off, or he doesn't. If he doesn't, we're no worse off than when he had retired. We still have Jackson and Rosenfels keeping him honest. Favre's experience WILL pay off. When the Vikings have their super bowl rings next year, we can send Favre Packing back across the St. Croix, in return for a high draft pick, of course. Skol Vikings.

Sapp is a head case who gets burnt too much in the nickel-he almost cost us games last year-Mccauley is still very young not to mention he was a third round pick for us a couple years ago.

Um no. I'm the real person who's posted sage tjack and booty. I'm just starting realize that we have a good team this year and I'm trying to "clean up" all the bad posts I've given in the past. So whoever you are you can stop. I'm a Vikings fan from here on out.

The fans in gopher land are as out to lunch as the fans at the jumping-off place to the end of the world...Green Bay. They don't know what makes a good team nor what makes a good game. Both sets of book-ends can climb on their snowmobiles and bitch their way to the Grand Opening of the next "suds & duds" parlor. Go Vikings!

I love how all these pretenders try to post like they are Favre. It's not his fault that he will fail.

Daily Horoscope for December 28

Pisces

This is another good day to be tactful, and if anything you'll be even more successful than you were yesterday. This is not to be sneezed at, so seize the opportunity to talk to people who can sometimes be very touchy or who need to be handled with kid gloves. If you meet someone who's older or more influential than you, you'll be a big hit with them.
