Sooner or later, Portis's health must be addressed
Obviously, the health of running back Clinton Portis should be the Redskins' top concern.
A Washington Redskins Market Analysis: The Part II
In Part I , we took a look at the Redskins ' standing in NFL labor markets that included Quarterbacks, Runningbacks, and Receivers, while making conclusions about what the Redskins might have to "settle" for, in the process of trying to improve the team.
Cerrato: Roster was capable of reaching playoffs
Vinny Cerrato, Washington's executive vice president of football operations, addressed a variety of topics concerning the team's disappointing 2-5 start while briefly speaking with reporters this afternoon at Redskins Park.
Washington Redskins left tackle Chris Samuels, who sustained a neck injury Oct. 11, was ruled out for the season Friday and his career is in serious jeopardy following additional consultation with specialists this week.
Washington Redskins Dump Marcus Mason Again
Goodbye again, Marcus Mason. Buried in the news that the Washington Redskins signed free agent lineman LeviA Jones was their release of DC area native Marcus Mason.
The outrage, the anger, the anguish, all of it can be attributed to the failure of the Redskins to meet expectations.
Redskins rule out Samuels for Chiefs game
One of the most indispensable Washington Redskins players will be unavailable for Sunday's game against Kansas City.
A Win Seems Likely, Unless ...
I expect the Redskins to beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at FedEx Field. Of course, I also thought the Redskins would beat the Detroit Lions, and we all know how that turned out.
Redskins' Rinehart anxious for possible debut
Looking back, Chad Rinehart knows he moped through most of his rookie year. As he made the transition from All-America tackle in college at Northern Iowa to NFL guard with the Washington Redskins last season, Rinehart knew he wouldn't play if veterans Pete Kendall and Randy Thomas were healthy.

Will he finally let Campbell do a lot more of what he does best: throw intermediate to deep passes? Will he ignite the careers of young wide receivers Malcolm Kelly or Devin Thomas with an aerial attack? After 17 games in which the Redskins have failed to score 30 points and have averaged just 16.6, will Zorn at last show that his version of the West Coast offense is a potent attack, not a dud?
Haunted by 2008 loss, Redskins face Rams again
It was an absurd play from an absurd game. An offensive lineman has a tipped pass land in his arms.

From talking with people in the organization the last couple of days, the Redskins really need to win their FedEx Field opener Sunday against the St.

'I Feel Good About Where We're At'
On his final 'day off' before the season begins Sunday, Washington Redskins quarterback Jason Campbell actually relaxed a little.
Instead of reviewing hours of game film of an upcoming opponent -- in this case, the New York Giants -- as he usually does on Tuesdays during the season, Campbell planned to watch only another hour of video and spend most of the afternoon visualizing plays he anticipated Jim Zorn might include in the Week 1 game plan. Not exactly a day of fun for most people, but definitely a break for Campbell.
Lost amid the endless Colt vs. Chase dialogues and the weeping and gnashing of teeth when the popular Colt Brennan, third quarterback extraordinaire, shuffled off to injured reserve on Saturday was a much more critical point: Is this Redskins team significantly better than last year's? Brennan's duel with Chase Daniel for the role of a guy who ...
