All those causes sound like something you could get involved in.But my question is if you have no compassion for dogs,how do you manufacture it for whales,fish,trees,etc.etc.?And if you really don't care about those either,What's your point?

FYI I am not nor have I ever been an animal rights activist or a champion for their cause. I don't like PETA and contribute very little to the SPCA. Therefore my opinion here has nothing to do with extremism of any type. And, no, I would NOT sell my soul for a dog but I will continue to speak out against people like Michael Vick who are nothing but sadistic, cruel bastards who abuse animals for their own sport and entertainment. If you see nothing wrong with what he did feel free to continue kissing his azz. As for me I'm going to continue to badmouth him as long as I feel like doing so whether anyone listens to my "whining and crying" or not.

As far as PETA goes, I wish some of these people on BOTH sides could see who they are calling terrorists. I never saw a PETA meeting until I had been called PETA by Topix posters 20,000 times. Is anyone really surprised about the article. Its always someone elses fault. As long as people make excuses for someones behavior it will never change. I guess Pacman Jones, Chris Henry, Plaxico Burress, etc. were picked on because they were black. It takes as strong black person such as Bill Cosby to stand up and take the heat. The problem with this and every other forum I've read in topix boils down to man's inhumanity to man. If we can't get human beings to care about human beings, how are we going to get anyone to really care about animals.

I support Mike Vick because he paid the price for his crimes in Prison. Now he is trying to stop dogfighting among urban youth. I don't care whether he means it or not...if he teaches one youngster the evils of dogfighting then I am happy.

Nobody is "trying" Michael Vick. The courts have already done that, and he served his time. But like other famous and not so famous people who have committed crimes, Michael Vick will be discussed both positively and negatively for the rest of his life.
