Oakland Raiders: Top Four Camp Battles

I agree with this writer on everything except the Safety battle. First of all, Coach Cable has already referred to Hiram Eugene as one of the leaders of the Raiders. Secondly, it took 3 years before for Nnamdi Asomugha and Robert Gallery blossomed but Huff hasn't shown signs of progress like they did. Third, Keith Davis was signed recently as the backup SS and is a special teams stud. Fourth, Tyvonn Branch showed more signs in his abreviated season than Huff did in 3 seasons. Fifth and finally, Mike Mitchell wasn't drafted higher than projected by "experts" to sit on the bench. Mitchell wins that battle hands down. RAIDERNATION 2009!!!!!!!!!

just curious, but let's say hypothetically J-Russ has a bad season. With a pretty strong QB class next year do the raiders take a qb? looking at a guy like colt mccoy or sam bradford it would be hard to pass on either of them. both are talented and HARD WORKING. which is what would set them apart from russell. obviously i'm hoping jamarcus wakes up and starts working, because he could be amazing, but it's just something to think about.

I'd take Sam Bradford if JRuss chokes this year. I'm hoping he pulls through though.

I have a job. Until they bring OT back, I only work 3 days a week @ 12 hours a day. That's why I have so much time on my hands.
